what would make the bigest temprature difference

1. a new waterblock

2. a new radiator

thanx in advance for anyone who replys

C. a new pump.

Without knowing what you have and what the "new" one would be we really can not answer the question. If I had to guess I would say the performance of the radiator makes the bigger difference in temperatures.

ok here is my cooling setup that i use right now
http://dtekcustoms.safeshopper.com/2/33.htm?676
and my temps are 38C under full load with 1.8vcore

ambient would me something like 23-25C i think.... as for the water temp i dont know

See i am thinking if you water temp is much hotter than ambient than you need a better rad.

if not than a better block might work?

and if you got a good block than a pump is a good choice.

I you start without a plan you get where your headed.

well u can take a look at the block and pump in the link i gave... i was thinking about getting a heater core and a DD Maze2 block just i wanted to know witch would make the bigest difference so i would know witch to get first

looks to be the block and quite possibly the pump isn't strong enough to move the water, but i'd bet the block is the culprit. you might also consider getting a reservoir, cuz it looks like the water only cools in the radiator a bit then is wisked away to heat again in the block. go over to www.overclockershideout.com and pick up a Z4 and a cool anodized reservoir if you can. if not, then I'd definitely get myself a new block, brand name if you can't make a better one, and build a reservoir of some sort so you can hold more water. the radiator looks like it'd do the job just fine with a good fan on it, the pump looks OK, may not exactly give you the flow you want with a radiator like that, but it should work fine.

is the Z4 better then the DDMaze2 then? i need to be able to use paypal to pay

btw its a 250ghp pump... what should i have??

the z4 and the dd block work pretty close to one another, i've used both in my setup, and the z4 gives me 3c cooler temps, but that's not really a ton of difference, so i'd give that differential to arctic silver and mounting differences, really. the pump gph is not as important as it's actual pressure it can offer, you may be pumping 250gph, but if that's at a pressure that cycles the water so fast it doesn't have time to cool in the radiator, you're fighting yourself, if it's too slow and allows heat to build in the block, same thing. you want good flow at a medium pressure. I'd bet your pump is fine, and the block is what's wrong, as well as needing some sort of volume of water. I like reservoirs myself, i tested my setup with no reservoir, and got higher temps, along the lines of 10c difference, that's a lot of difference for just a reservoir. make a reservoir at home if you can just to test it out, use a plastic bowl, put one end of the pump's intake into it as well as the outlet of the radiator to see how well it does. you want this: reservoir-pump-block-radiator-reservoir. some say this isnt' a great config, but it gets me the lowest temps and prevents the need for a sealed reservoir, as it won't pressurize as much this way. run it like that and see how much difference it makes, it's not a costly experiment so you should be able to do it at home.

only problem is i dont really have any extra hoseing right now and no money lol but aside from not haveing a reservoir i have it setup the same way pump-block-radiator-pump

Your pump is plenty strong, especially for only cooling the CPU. The radiator you have is a heater core, actually. It's the same one from dangerden, also known as the Big Mama (former name). I'd recommend getting a Maze 2 or a reservoir. One of those would be the best route to take :).
