HTPC Software - X10 in the future as well

So I picked up an ASUS Pundit-R and have it running my bedroom, works great but it doesn't seem to play with Windows 7, or from what I hear Vista (A. I'd need more RAM, and B. I believe there are integrated VGA driver issues with Vista).

So I'm running Windows XP MCE, and it seems to work pretty well, but since Im on XP and MC is only so nice, I figured I'd venture into other front ends (and I have an interest in the future of using some X10 integration).

I want to keep it in XP and I want to make it pretty :)

Suggestions?

Media Portal is popular with most users around here and it does have X10 plugins available.

I 2nd MediaPortal too, I love it! however, you can also look into some other free htpc front app like Meedios, XBMC, etc.
