View Full Version : Batboy Post Your Northwood Results Here
I just got mine running last night. I pushed it to 2.9GHz with 1.8 volts and managed to get some benchmarks, but I'm afraid to keep it at that voltage for very long. I'm using the Epox 4SDA, Swiftech MCX478 with 42cfm fan, and Corsair PC2700. I'm a little more comfortable with 2.8GHz at 1.7 volts. It ran sandra burn in and Seti overnight at that speed and voltage. Tomorrow I should have an Epox 4BDA (intel 845 version same features) and a 1.8GHz P4. For those interested I want to see if that can manage 133fsb. Here are some benchmarks.

Oops - I forgot the memory bench. This is cas2 "normal" timings at 128fsb.

Wow!
Holy guano, that's awesome, TC.
Well, I just sent payment out the other day via snail mail, so it might be a while before I receive my 2.0a Northwood. I have a feeling that you and your 2.2 gigger are going to be a real tough act to follow.
Which mobo are you getting - the P4TE?

TC is this on water or air? and if on air are you using the retail heatsink?
I already have the Abit TH7-II RAID, the same one you're selling. Yes, I read your reasons why you didn't like it. If this mobo and/or the CPU I'm getting don't work at as well as I hope, my Dad will probably buy them from me. Sounds like he wants a nice new P-4 system sometime within the next couple months. He's not an overclocker though.
Funnydude, TC is using air cooling. The same cooler I now have too, the Swiftech MCX478, which is supposedly THE best heatsink and fan combo currently available for the P-4 socket 478 processors.

PACINO has a Northwood system overclocked quite high also. I've been waiting to see his scores. TC's benchmarks are making me not want to pay my bills and go buy 1 of those chips instead.
whhhooohhhoooo For the next couple of months (lol 10 or maybe more lol) i can only dream about that chip and that kind of speed
:(
Lucky you!
And Burnin u have a nice sig ;)
