My god, I just switched from Win98 to WinXP. The only problem I have in the switch is my ATI TV Wonder VE software is acting up. I tried everything I could think of that would solve this problem, but no solution arosed:
This is my newest attempt...
Uninstall all drivers related to TV Tuner in Hardware
Uninstall the Multimedia Center
Used System Mechanic to get rid of junk files and clean registry
Shut Down
Removed PCI card
Boot
Shutdown
Install PCI Card
Reinstall all drivers using the newest drivers (Downloaded from the internet: version 7.1)
Reboot
Installed newest version of Multimedia Center (7.1)
Reboot
The problem is that when window starts and the Multimedia should start it gives me this error:
Atisserv failed to provide required interfaces
In relation to the start bar and the shortcuts, the icons for TV, DVD, and CD Audio is not there. But the other icons are showing. When executing the non showing icons, windows attempts to find the files (futile) and in executing the icons that actually show, nothing happens...
I have up to date DirectX drivers and the special DirectX BDA comes with WinXP directX 8.1
I have an ATI RAGE PRO TURBO AGP 2X 16 MB vid card with the latest drivers
help me out please!
