View Full Version : 2coolpc turbo blowy thing- any good?
In the tips and techniques section I saw a thing on the 2coolpc blowers. Does anyone have any personal experiance with these? I'm hoping it will solve my dvd hang up/ freeze problem, which is after about 2 hours+ the movie hangs up and the system freezes and gets a BSOD and even after a restart it wont work right so I got to shut it off for a couple hours. Anyway personal experiances would be helpful.

If it is the clear duct with the fan on the end, not really. There was a review that had most of the Mods and Seniors in it where they tested it. I think 2 out of 6-8 reviews sadi that is worked. The duct is also to short to blow on the CPU and HS. It did work as a good video cooler because of where the duct points. It was also a little hard to get into some cases without rather extreme modding. The mods who tested it could probably tell you exactly. Hope this helped. :)

Get a good 92mm fan, some cardboard, and duct tape and save the money. They are a good quick fix and good if you can't do anything else or are afraid to do anything. There are some serious design issues that need to be addressed. These don't fit in thinner towers either.

I got 2 of them, and like them. Both in Enlight 7237 cases.
Barely fit.... but I like the way it cranks air on my video
card.
Last fall, my DragonOrb 3 monster fried the power lead
for the CPU fan, and I suspect the 2coolPC fan helped
save my system.
Maybe, it was with my 1.26g P3-S Tualatin chip, and that
thing runs cool anyways, but I figured more fans wouldn't
hurt. (That Tualatin cost about $400.00 when I got it....)
The thing kept on running unreal. I didnt know the fan
had stopped until I got done playing and checked the
hardware monitor.
(Dont try that with an AMD......):D
