I'm looking for a fie as@ video card to become a member of the high tech family that will be takeing up residence in my new Monster I'm going to create.

I went to www.VisionTek.com and click on the analyis my card. It gave me a compasion to some of the GF 3's.

i lik ehte 8500 because of Price because itll whoop a regular Geforce3 which is on the same price level...and is on par with the Ti500 which is like 60$ more.....but if money is no object then the Ti500 may be a better choice...i like saving money though :)

I just got a Radeon 8500 for 196.91 (that was with 2 day rush delivery s+h) and I'm a lot more satisfied with it than I was with the GeForce3 Ti 500 I was borrowing while I waiting for it to arrive.

For one thing the GeForce3 Ti 500 has faster rates in a few areas, and the Radeon 8500 has faster in some areas. With the Radeon you get TruForm, SmartShader, and SmoothVision. Which I couldn't get from nVidia.

TruForm is awesome if you get good support for it in a game, SmartVision I haven't used yet but I know people who like it. SmoothVision gives you optimized FSAA up to 6x! beats the standard 4x. Plust the way the card is designed, overclocking capabilities are really good, so if you aren't satisfied with your performance, buy some heatsinks and have at it!

oh um... 1 more vote for ATI :)
