recommendations for external drive for PVR from 'egg.CA

Can anyone give me their personal recommendations as to which external drives they suggest I get/avoid from newegg.CA?? Not 'egg.com, the Canadian outlet. I'm looking for a drive to add to my satellite box to make it a PVR. Has to be a drive that does not have (or can be disabled at least) a power saving mode.

These (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&Description=dvr%20expander%20drive&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=PRICE)would seem to be a logical choice for simplicities sake but you are certainly paying a premium for it.
