I played both. Chaos Theory is excellent. Great story, great controls, great environments.

Double Agent is newer but your typical console port - clunky controls; I hated it.

I would buy chaos theory if it were on steam.

Sucks that Chaos Theory isn't on Steam. I would activate my copy on there so I didn't have to use the stupid disc to play (I hate the DRM with that game)

I usually use NO-DVD patches so that I don't have to worry about scratching my discs (or more like my kids scratching them). But the DRM on SSCT was nasty and a real pain to get around.

I'd love to be able to just activate it on steam and play that way. Steam rocks!


I've played some of double agent and thought it was OK. I don't recall having issues with the controls or anything though. I wasn't crazy about the different gameplay (because of the story), but $5 is tempting.....

Original Splinter Cell (http://store.steampowered.com/app/13560/) is also on Steam for $4.99. That's a great game as well!

Couldn't tell you yet, as I haven't played it. I do have the original Splinter Cell CD somewhere in storage if need be. I believe it's stand alone though.

I'll try the game shortly and update you.

i think all splinter cell games are stand alone, not a continuous story like metal gear.

Thanks guys! I got Chaos Theory, and this will be the first time i have ever Played the SPlinter Cell series, i was more into RPGs lol...it 9.99 by the way.
