View Full Version : Which GF3 Ti200? How about monitors?

I'm looking to spend somewhere around $150. So far I've settled on the MSI Pro-DT. I'd like the DVI for future use, so the Leadtek (TDH) and the PNY are also candidates. Anything better with the same features for around the same price? I read the thread about popping the capacitors off, and I'm not afraid to do it as long as it doesn't fry my card. I can't afford to buy another one. This will be going on a Shuttle AK31A with an AMD XP 1800+.

Also, what's a good monitor? I've read the reviews and so far the Hitachi CM721F 19" seems like a good choice. I'd go up to $300 on a monitor. The NEC's also look decent.

Thanks,
Rob

th dvi is not impotant, imho. til the dvi devices come out, you'll change your videocard 3-times! :)
i have a lg flatron 915ft plus monitor, it's a 19", and really good.

Sounds like a decent monitor. It's too big for my desk though. I only have an 18" wide space to put a monitor in. The LG is 1/2' too big.

I have a PNY ti200 on a shuttle AK31 rev 3,I like the pny cards more then anything because of there lifetime warranty.I dont have an athlon XP but if I did I bet I could break 9K :)
The card at 234/534 has a current 3d mark of 8300+ @ 151 fsb @ 1600 mhz .

ok..I have the PNY GeForce3 ti200, with an XP1700+..at all stock speeds i was getting roughly 7300 3dmarks, I over clocked my CPU to 1650 (11*150) and took my video card to 185/410..and scored an 8117...the PNY is super sweet..I havent overclocked it alot yet..not until I get better cooling for the GPU.
