wellz u've definitely come to the right place... U have any specific questions? As for the basic procedure to OC ur system would be to up the multipler/ or clock speed on ur mobo. Then comes making the system stable by playing around with different voltages and other settings.... :D Basically everything should be adjustable from the bios, or on the mobo itself...
well all of them basically :)
Im really new to the overclocking scene, and i would like to clock my pc to a gig.
Most tables / specs say it can be done, but i know that sometimes it wont work
Ok ive read the Beginner help files posted on the site, nut i cant make heads or tails of them :/
So could you sorta give me a breif and quick (ish :D) runthrough on how to 'boost' bios ... please :)
Thanks

Well, if you're starting at 850, the outlook for an OC using that motherboard (or any Slot-A motherboard, for that matter) isn't good.
You see, the K7M doesn't have any multiplier controls, and even if it did, changing the multiplier on your Slot-A Athlon would require you to physically take the CPU apart and either a) do some soldering or b) attach a Gold Fingers Device to the CPU.
Now, for what you CAN do.
Go into your BIOS. Under (I believe) Advanced settings on the second page is the CPU clock. By default, it will be set to 100MHz. You can change this in one MHz increments up to I think 133 MHz. I can almost guarantee, though, that your board will not make it up to 133. I just got rid of an old Slot-A setup with that very motherboard in it. The most the Athlon 650 that I had in it would boot at is 107MHz. These boards' ceilings are usually at about 110 MHz, tops. You may be able to go higher, but you can't change the CPU voltage with this motherboard either. For that, you would need the aforementioned Gold Fingers Device. And even then, the motherboard would hold you back, not the CPU.
ah well, cheers dude, ill have to wait until i get some cash :(
