I have a few questions for anyone who has had any experiance with this HS.

As the cooling pipes use a liquid heat transferring process to get the heat from the base to the top of the fins, how dose this exactly work? DOse it have a small amount of liquid that is evaporated then condenced at the top of the fins so that it flows back down to the base?? If so then how dose this system perform when the HS is mounted Vertically in an upright case?

I can understand that it performs very well when mounted horazontally but am assuming that the performance may be inhibited when mounted vertically. can anyone discuss this furthur?

I have this HSF.

I run it vertically. It works very well for me. Not too sure on the workings of it.. but hey, if it works... who cares what it has in it, right?

I have an XP 1800+ AGKGA "Y" overclocked to 1.7GHz rock solid (memory preventing me from going further). When the temperature in the room is right  it tops out at around 37c.

Right now I have it ducted to 30ishF outside air and it's idling at 28c - 32c full load. (Window/Fan is going thru some ghetto ducting to hit my fan with good speed, but it works)

I have this HS - I LOVE IT!!!

dropped my temps 14F

I run 1.5G at 102-104F under full load!

I am mounted vertically, and the liquid is very little that is actually like a gel or whatever on the walls of the pipe....

performs like a swifty - minus the cost!
