i know this sucka is huge! but how does it perform? seems like most people would be scared it would basiclly shatter your CORE before you see any reason to buy it? ...i wonder how it performs? sure does have a badass fan on it though.. :D

a friend of mine tried it out and it worked OK, you get better performance from a swifty than with the core. copper is the way to go these days, the mc462 has a new version out that works the same as the old, just easier to mount fans to it, if you're willing to spend that kind of cash, might as well go for one of the best if not the best. alpha makes a few really good ones too that aren't as expensive, might go that route as well. the core is a novel looking heatsink, but truly doesn't perform better than most average coolers out there as far as i can tell.
