In bios by pressing 'ctrl'+'F1' you get some advanced options. Set memory speed manually to 1066, set DRAM voltage to 2.2V and main timings to 5-5-5-15. Leave the rest on 'Auto'. If you have questions it would be the best to use camera to take a pic of the bios page with timings and post it here if you dunno which timings to set.

do the Kingstons take that much voltage?
OP, watch out for the temps of the RAM. if they get too hot, turn the voltage down a bit.
also, check the rated voltage on your RAM's packaging.

yes, HyperX is rated for that voltage. Not really a good RAM, but still popular it seems. Can probably work on less voltage, but should set as Kingston say for the start...
*EDIT: I now see your reapers are also on 2.2V???

LOL!
they're rated at 2.1v for 800mhz 4-4-3-15.
but i'm on 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 and 2.2v
i remember 2.0v was still fine...i dunno why i haven't changed it back
lol i'm so random.
18 is # 1

See if they will run at that speed/voltage and test for stability. If you're OK, lower the voltage and test again. Keep dropping until you fail and then bump it back up one notch. Processors and RAM should always be kept at the lowest voltage they can be run with.

not trying to hijack the thread but it seems like the place to post this.
i have some 2x1gb mushkin ram 4-5-4-11 ddr2 800. volts set at 2.2v.
i have had some recent issues with the puter shutting down and booting back up. everythign is fine no windows errors or anything. i messed with my cpu volts some thinking it might be that. but after running a few stress test.(occt, intelburn test, ect.) the cpu is fine when i add full mem i get faild test. should i loosen up the mem? i have it at max volts for this mem. this is what ihave.

any tips/advise?
thanks
ps if this is the wrong place to post this advise me where to and ill move it...thanks again

your best bet is to loosen the timings and go from there.
is you kit rated at 5-5-5-12 originally?
if so, i doubt tighter timings will work
EDIT: i just checked out your link, and it comes stock 4-5-4-11. hmmm...
how long did you stress test your cpu for?
stable is considered 24 hours...(even though i only do 10 hr :santa:)
and btw, you didn't tweak any other settings in the BIOS did you? i'd suggest leaving all settings except the ones you listed in your post to auto, until you know for sure your ram is stable

yes my setting are stock 4-5-4-11 2t.
well after some other testing1 stick is shot i pulled 1 stick and tried it by itself. i couldnt get it to post. put in the other stick and it posted and everything ran fine but it wouldnt pass intelburn test. i had some new crucial ballistix ddr2 800. put them in and passed intel burn test with no problem.im guessing the mushkin mem is shot. they are only about 6 months old. will see about a RMA.
i didnt stress them long seeing they faild occt/orthos within the first 5 mins.
does anyone have any thoughts on some good mem for a gigabyte board? i havent seem to have much luck with crucial and now mushkin. back to the new RMA'd crucial sticks.
