I've heard this computer-related term many of times, but I don't know exactly what it is and my curiousity has arisen. Thanks!

Cash is that stuff you use to pay with at the store, opps wrong cash.:D

cache is memory that is used by either the processor of hard disk or windows ect. to store data it thinks it might use again soon. it acts like a buffer between something slow and something faster say a hard disk and system memory or system memory and the processor to help the faster item keep working with out stalling for lack of data.
