Hi all,

as of yesterday (first time I noticed anyway) I'm getting small, blinking pixels showing up in certain areas of the screen, often in logo's for example while I'm writing this and looking at the upper part of the screen (it's in the OC Forums logo and the Newegg add below it, not the rest of the screen). The pixels blink a bit like stars do.

Tested installing latest drivers, to no avail. I'm running H2O in my system, the gfx card has an EK block installed and it has been like this for about 6 months now without problems. GPU temps according to Everest are around 30 degrees (core 1 and 2).

Any idea what the problem could be? Some other part of the GPU overheating, or could this be software problems? I tested a small game trailer movie and there it appears that the problem occurs throughout the entire screen.

Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
Joris

Blimey...

being a bit of an idiot here, did some searching and read somewhere it was caused by poor DVI connection - checked the cable and it was a bit loose on the PC end. Fixed it in place properly and problem is gone :o

I'll leave the topic rather than delete it right off, maybe some1 else will find it helpful someday :p

It was fortunate that it was something simple.
Next stop might have been the oven trick. :)
