OK I got me sound card in the mail today.

My sound card now is: SBLive X-Gamer Non 5.1

Anyways ... It came I opened it but there was no static bag so I figured it wouldn't be a problem.
I installed it and the first thing I heard was mad crackling. Yes I did touch the case and yes I wasn't wearing any static clothing.

Then in Windows it still did the crackling. I downloaded the drivers and it told me I don't have any Sound Blaster Live! card in.

From there I'm stumpted

If there was no static bag it could have been a return. Maybe you bought a somebody elses dead card. Check for an IRQ conflict with another card that might not like sharing. Not all cards play well together. Move the card to a different slot to change it IRQ. Try with only the video and sound card in the system.
What FSB are you running? PCI cards can drop out at high FSB's although I haven't had a SBLive do that yet.

Whoops I did try those thing they don't work infact it doesn't even detect the card and yes it should be working because it was in a trade with a respectful trader which I trust.
