OK, got my case for my H20 project, yesterday. I am looking at mounting the 10"x5"x1/2" radiator either in the Front, Top or Back of the case. Decisions, decisions.....????:eh?:

In the front; it would look clean. Not visible at all. (on/off switch location probs here)
In the top, I'd have Loooong hoses hanging.
(I think this might be the best location tho)
In the back, it would be a tight fit....connectors,PS,PCI cards..etc. etc.

What might be a good location for the radiator? (other that in YOUR system:D )

[case is an older Gateway 2000 full tower case]

Thanks,

If it's like a remember you should have a good 6", between the bottom and the switch, to fit a rad in. Yes?

Huh? 6" in between what? the bottom and the Radiator?

The Rad measures 10"L x 5"W.

Check this thread:

Do a search for what you're looking for- Hoot, and theoverclocker have good water advice....spend the time to look at the pics and read the advice.

I mounted mine like Hoot's in the front, lower part of case with 2 120 fans blowing through, and 2 50cfm 80's to send it out the back.

It really doesn't matter where you put the radiator as long as it is getting air from the outside and it isn't blowing hot air onto other components. Ducting the air might be your best salution.

Thanks, that really did help a lot.
I was going to PM Hoot when I got home today. LOL. Now I don't have too.

PICS are what I was looking for.
Thanks for the link. I had been searching through the fourm for pic, and surfin on other sites.
Just couldn't find the right thing....

No difference in placement, I think there would be.
- Hot air blowin out or using cool air comin in.

Thanks again !
I'll post pics when I get done.
