I have tried leaked drivers, Omega drivers, and official drivers, but all had there faults, some didnt save there settings, some degraded performance, and some had issues. What drivers have kept there settings and didnt have any issues with Half-Life?

I've tried them all like you and I use 6.13.10.3286 for XP

And Found 4.13.9008 to work the best for Win9x/ME

Your mileage may vary but I'm praying Gigabyte and Hercules (2 new OEM manufactures making ATI cards) develop drivers and show ATI how they are supposed to do it...... I can dream can't I? ;)

Best drivers I've used for my Radeon are the 3281 drivers from www.rage3d.com.

If you are using XPs after the windows radeon drivers use the latest omega

stay away from ATI's drivers.
even update them later you will not see any future than format and reinstall windows

What about Win2K... any experience with ATI drivers in this OS?

Im using win2k with the 5.13.1.3276 drivers. I know everybody thinks they suck, but I dont want to hear it. So far they have been the best drivers for Half-Life based games. I spend most of my time playing Counter Strike. The leaked drivers suck for CS the fps dropped from a solid 100 to around 60 and with smoke grenades it would gett worse. Besides the 3dmk01 score hardley went up.

Where can I find the .3286 drivers? Off to ATI to find them.
The 6011 drivers were the beta leaked drivers right?

I have been using the beta drivers posted at 2001 with decent results.

I get 1362 3D marks with my system in my sig and Sacrifice plays nicely with it. That score with a slow processor and a Video card that wasn't ment to do 3D much is not bad. It's about the same level as a MX200 with my processor.

I do notice a couple of artifacts here and there and at first I thought it may have been my over clock (which by the way the VE does nicely, I still need to get some active cooling), but it still does the same thing at stock speeds so I'm not too worried about it. Still plays very nice and you can just catch glimps of a small artifact once in a while. I hope the next beta will fix that and keep the speed.

Edit ---> This was written when I had a Duron 800, I continue to update my sig as time goes on so I should probably stop refering to it in this way.
