i need a cheap good waterblock, should i either convert a volcano 6cu+ or buy a dd, alum is better b/c i have a alum rad
Aquastealth (http://www.aquastealth.com) has an aluminum block for $15.99. You will need a hold down device but you can always make your own. For about $30 you can get a good copper water block from Dangerden or Aquastealth. If you use something like water wetter you won't have to worry about mixing aluminum with copper.

how much of a temp difference between alum rad with copper wb and antifreeze or alum rad with alum wb with distilled water?
The aluminum block will be from 1-3c warmer than a comperable copper block. Adding antifreeze won't really make your temps go up as long as you just use a tiny bit. If you can wait I will be making some aluminum cross drilled blocks. I won't be selling them for a profit. I only want to get back enough to cover my costs. If you are using this for an amd system a 4 hole clamping device is the best.
