Have someone mail it to you. I'm sure a family member wouldnt mind or better yet borrow a CD & use your own CDKey. That should be legal:eh?:

ME is the worst. I think I would use dos before ME. ME has the worst track record of any MS product.

Every experience I have had with Linux, it's been great for gaming. Then again, I was using RedHat 7.1 - 7.2 and playing Quake3.

It's a pity you're stuck with WinME... really is, I feel for you :(

WinXP is bad, but WinME is worse! Might even be enough to get me to stop playing with the computer if that was the only choice!

Nah, what am I thinkin'?:p

well i'm having problems with it and i've had it installed for 5 hours, lol. its jsut so much more slow and unstable thatn 2000 (which i'm used to). the only plus is that it boots up a lot faster.

yeah y does ME boot up so much faster then all the other MS OS's?
They forget something after they made ME and forget to put it in XP and 2k?
well faster from what I've seen...

2000's installation is at least a gig and me is like 600 megs, there's a big difference in size, 2000 is so huge that it takes forever to start up.

I think they kept extraneous bs out of the registry in me and thats one of the things that help it boot faster: I use a registry optimizer in 98/NT/2K that cut anywhere from 5 to 25 seconds off boot times. A big registry takes a loooonnnnngggg time to search and load evrything.

Whats bad about Winme: crashes and networking.

WinME is basically a random BSOD generator. That's what's good about XP... it's very stable... the bad is all that activation mumbo-jumbo. They didn't do much to help networking. It works somewhat better than WinME did, but not much.
