I'm not sure about what your clock speeds should be but don't expect to do much gaming on that 8200m IGP. You could maybe play counter strike at 1024x768 and low settings. Sorry but thats about as good as it gets for that IGP. I think it scores around 1000marks in 3DMark06

I'm very suprised you can run with 2x AA on high detail settings, even at 800x600. What size screen are you using? That must be hard on the eyes!

I'm guessing that 425mhz is the core speed of the IGP. I'm not sure how much video RAM you have. What mainboard do you have?

Sorry mate but I don't have windows live on my PC. I havn't used messenger for some time now. I prefer to use the phone now, lol. A fast way to tell what mainboard you have would be to download CPU-Z and use that.

wistron-360a :)

After a google search wistron-360a turned up a lot of results. Mainly to do with laptops. What does CPU-z say under the mainboard tab in Manafacturer, Model, Chipset?

So what make and model is your laptop? I'm not sure if it's possible to O/C the 8200m as I think it's build into the northbridge. I managed to O/C a Dell C640 GPU once but that had a dedicated GPU. As far as I am aware there is no way to overclock a IGP based solution.

its a comapc persario CQ50 and its 256 dedicated for gaming and programs and stuff that what i oced...

I've looked at your pics and your core speed is 425mhz and the shader domain is at 850mhz. 256MB RAM as you have stated will be correct.

yeah i kno any way to check how much its running at?

I'm not sure what you mean? It has 256MB dedicated video RAM but I'm not aware of a utility that allows you to monitor the amount of video ram usage

i mean see how much iv overclocked from 256mb.. so it cud be running at 300mb
like the cpu from 2ghz to 2.4ghz
soming like that so u can see how much ur card is running at

You can't add memory to the 8200m. And like I've said, i don't know of a way to O/C a IGP. What makes you think you have overclocked the card in any way?

iv clocked the core from 400mhz to lik450 and the shader thing to 850 so im guesing its oc?
sorrim in kinda new to this overclocking thing

No need to apologise. Download GPU-Z and see what that tells you. What did you use to overclock the 8200m?

Nvidia control panel there was a pic on that imageshack thing

I did not see any overclocking options in that screenshot.

what do i look under
jmdixon85
06-20-09, 10:46 PM
ahh right. Very interesting. I've never seen a IGP overclocked before. I've tried myself on a HP pavilion and a Dell D630 but the settings didn't apply. Have you looked at GPU-Z to see if that confirms your overclock?
xtwekedx

what do i look under?
jmdixon85
06-20-09, 10:58 PM
At the bottom of the GPU-Z program it will tell you your current GPU, Shader and memory clocks. And under that will be the standard clocks before you overclocked
