ok, here is the deal, I got just yesterday went and bought this stuff, amd athlon xp 2000= cpu, Lian-Li full tower alum case w/450 watt psu, abit kr7a with raid kt266a chipset, 60gig maxtor hdd at 7200 ata133, sound blaster audigy platinum, 56k micro modem, ati radeon 8500 agp, 1024 mb crucial ddr pc2100, round ide cables, i have 6 case fans installed in the case, case fans are 80mm, some are 90mm, i like the big ones, lol......anyway, logitech opitacal mouse, 19 inch monitor, internet keyboard, i got a plextor burner, not sure of speed yet, sony floppy, dvd player and dvd burner, extra cd-rom not to wear out my burners, ok, now............my question is, how far can I over clock this system, I allready put it all together, just sitting waiting to be overclocked,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and suggestions.........i would really hate to ruin this system, and im sure you will all agree, thanx

You definately have a sweet system there...
Most of you overclocking questions could be best answered by people that know your motherboard, hence, I would suggest you post in the Amd Abit Motherboards topic. Otherwise, you risk people like me giving you advice... ;)

First of all! That sounds like one kick a$$ system! Drooooooooool! ;) The only way to o/c the xp, is by FSB. (found in the bios)
I would not recommend connecting the L1's, unless you are positive you can do it!
Edit: Flounder, you're just to fast! LOL

That is kinda what i was NOT going to do, i Burnt a system up when i tried that the last time, that is why im asking suggestions from here

Ouch. You mean unlocking? Unless you unlock (takes guts) fsb is the sum of your overclocking options. Even so, you have a sweet system, and by bumping the fsb up a few notches, you will be *flying*.

Yeah, I tried to unlock a XP 1600+ and, well, :mad: i think ya get the hint, lol
