I know it's low end and you get what you pay for, yadda yadda yadda...but I'm on a budget yet still want a larger monitor...I picked out 3, but when it comes to monitors I'm not the brightest bulb in the box. I know you want: high rez, high refresh rate, low dpi...other than that I'm stumped..was wondering if I could get some ideas/advice on a good 19" monitor that is under $200...thanks

This is what I found:

Hansol 910A 19" Color Monitor for $146.00
Elements Cyclone 9S 19" Monitor for $149.00
KDS VS-195e 19" Color Monitor for $203.00

thanks in advance for all replies...

Well its not quite under $200 but its close assuming they still have a rebate. My dad got a 19'' Samsung SyncMaster 955df for $219.99 shipped after rebate. It is a flat tubed .20 horizontal dot pitch monitor. The immage quality is amazing. I'll ask him who he got it from since they had almost every monitor on the market for a reasonable price. Shipping is also very cheep at this place. I'll keep you posted.

Check out this place (www.pagecomputer.com). You can call a bestbuy and see if they have any rebates out since they stock Samsung.

The best value monitors are the KDS, like what ir in your list and Viewsonic. My brother has a 19" KDS and really likes it.

You can also look an "generic" monitors that say they have Trinitron tubes, they are made by Sony.
