PS2 vc PC

I personally think that a ps2 looks a great deal better than pc. Computers are only good for online stuff like gaming, news, etc..
I think that whenever the ps2 goes online, everyone will drop the pc for playing games online.

I doubt it, I like PC power and graphics better as all the games on PS2 will be reverted on to computers if it <does> happen.

And a PC you can upgrade and such while a console is just for gaming and upgrading would be a pain as those things are so small.

i saw an article that matched the xbox and the pc. the pc was by far greater. look at maximum pc.

that's what they always say, but pcs are so upgradeable that they will always be one step ahead in games, although its by far more convinient and relaible to play on a console

IMO I think the computer ownz all consoles... I don't like consoles at all.

I have a playstation (no 2 involved) just for portability. Only know 1 game. PC is far superior. And I've checked out the new consoles at a few stores........when I can get an Xbox for $100 or less, maybe. Same for ps2.

The only cool thing about consols is the fact all you have to do to play games is put in a cd and hit power. It's easier to transport and you can sit back on a couch and play away. Well, in the future when prices get cheaper I'll just build a small bookpc and have tv-out and dvd.

you are comparing apples and oranges here
both have benfits

console: ability to turn on and play,games always run fast,and can be played on a big screen tv

pc's: more mulitfunctional,upgradable,cheaper games,better resolutions and graphics

While many might argue that the console is a better piece of gaming equipment, they are dead wrong, the ps2 looks horrible compared to a pc, have you noticed the graphics on Tony hawk 3? There is no anti-aliasing whatsoever! His arms and legs are blocky and rigid. Now the Xbox, is more of a contender with its "hopped-up" geforce 3, but it still pails in comparison to the top of the line pc's today, also unless you have a HDTV, the highest quality you are going to get out of your consoles is the 525 lines of resolution you TV is capable of displaying. (PS- i own a playstation and an xbox, so i am not bagging on them because i do not own one, i love them both for their portability)

Well for one, Maximum PC.... need I say more? Enough of that, the Xbox's GPU (NV2A) was not only the reason nForce was created, but is also more powerful than a GeForce 3 Ti500. Nvidia themselves said that, until the GeForce 4 (Feb, I hear) comes out, or the next line of Radeons. PC just doesn't have a more powerful, stock, graphics card. Hell the dashboard uses two vertex shaders.

But yes, everything else in the Xbox can easily be matched and done up that much better in a PC.
