Unfortunatley, I will also be sucumbing to the heat (29C days and 24C nights, humid as hell)

I will be shutting down all folding rigs, minus PS3, and possibly girlfriends rig (9600GSO and E6750) for the summer. Some days if it is cool they will definatley be back on, but wont be turning em back to 24/7 (or close) until late september most likely

However, I am ending on a good note, hit 700K and one of my best single PPD outtings at 17k+. So anyone on page 2, look out, because Canadian winters are your enemy!

Also, wondering if we should get a thread going for those taking a summer break, and whats going down, and what will be coming back up when you resume?

I remember some years ago (n < 4) Stanford's chilled water plant went HURK and died during the big Californian heat wave. Matter of fact, the big company I was working for at the time had the same problem around the same time. It was unfun: 80F in the buildings.

No chilled water up at the farm = folding servers turned off, because keeping a $n million laser cool is a bigger priority than keeping the folding servers running.

Similarly, budget cuts at home = no folding anymore.

Fold for Team 32, if you don't, it won't stop snowing in Canada

I thought it was still snowing. :D

Seriously, I hear ya hainer... we all must do what we must do. Look forward to having you back to full Folding speed when it gets cooler. :)

It's a nice 27.5C in my compy room right now... much better than the 29C I was at, but I also shutdown two machines and three GPUs.
