ok the seti@home server is down right now and i dont want to let my cpu idle so i decided to help out our folding team for a little while my question is that i was wondering how do i set my team# and my name useing the no nonsence text only version of folding... thanx for any replys
Download the console version into its own folder, and run it. Put in the name of your choice, and team #32.
umm isnt the no nonsence text only version the same thing as the console version?? i am running windows xp so it has to work with that...
Yes, when I refer to console, I mean the text version. Sorry, still used to version 1.x speak.
it never asked me when i ran it what name i wanted to fold under or the team name it just started downloading a work unit and started folding....
You have to make a shortcut with the -config switch. or you can get the 2.17 ver. here (http://folding.stanford.edu/beta/) . I do not know why they did not make 2.15 ask for the config info but 2.17 does or you can just use the config switch. The 2.17 also has timestamping in the console so you can see the time.
