Well, I finally got my Christmas toy up and running. I built a P3 1.26S box, using a GA-6OXET board and I'm cooling it with a 120 watt pelt/water cooling. I'm presently running it at 1581/166 and 1.73 v vcore. This is what mbm is showing.

Here are a few Sandra Benchies for you:

Here is the multimedia benchmark:

I'm having to run my memory asynchronously due to the high fsb and my Crucial ram not being able to cut that speed but all in all, the numbers aren't too bad. The floating point bench takes a pretty good hit running like this though.

WOW!! That's pretty impressive!!! Is that the 512k cache model or the 256???? That's some nice OCing there!

It's the 512k cache server chip. I'm presently running Folding@Home on it for a stability test. The temp shown in the mbm pic is with it Folding. I imagine if I would run Toast or CPU burn the temp might get up to -4 or -5 C.:D The biggest problem that I've run into today with it is that the pelt psu puts out quite a bit of heat and I am going to have to add another fan or 2 on the case to get rid of the extra heat from it. I'm presently running it with 1 case side off.

:) uh..intel really kicks @sses!! you go!! why do you try a little burn in, see if you can oc to 170..:D guess with your cooling device, you can use that cpu burn all day long to get ur chip nice and crispy:o

I was just thinking of that an hour or 2 ago. I won't have any problem keeping it cool enough, that's for sure. I might give that a try tomorrow after I get up and let it run like that for a few days. It's been a while since reading about that; refresh my memory. Basically you back the fsb to minimum, vcore to max and load the heck out of it, right? Also, I went to the gigabyte site and they have the final version of the f9 bios posted up on their site. I d/l'ed it and I'm planning to update my f9c beta bios tomorrow.

that'z right, max out your vcore, min your fsb, and order it to work like a living hell. a long time ago, ol'man was doing the same thing, and he was using nitrogen to freeze his chip for a whole night, but i never found out the result, maybe i should ask him how it turned out.

Nice overclock, temperatures and performance!

I'd like to have sub zero temperatures.
