Hi. So. I'm moving to a new place and we don't want to run ethernet cords all over the place, so I'm going to have to be using wireless. In the past, I have had horrible wireless experiences.
I play games online and have always had horrible delay, and in the last place I lived my bedroom would get pretty much no signal.
I'm planning on getting a wireless USB adapter for my computer, but would it be better to get a physical wireless card? :bang head

USB wireless adapters are asking for more trouble, imo. The ones I have worked with are garbage, while I've had good experiences with several internal cards. The antennas tend to be better on internal also.

Yea, the two USB wifi dongles I have owned are pretty bad for gaming, while my PCI internal card worked quite well.

House or apartment? If house how dense is the area? Reason I ask if you may want to go for a 5Ghz system if its an apartment complex or very dense housing. A cluttered 2.4Ghz band will kill your performance in a hurry.

I moved from wired to wireless. I'm about ready to install ethernet cables. I'm two rooms away and getting half the speed I did on wired being 2 bedrooms away from the router. Though I'm surprised to find that there's drivers for my linksys pci wireless card for vista 64. My connection only spontaneously maxes out to 1.8mb and that's usually with more than one torrent going with good sources.
