My buddies laptop AC adapter got destroyed today (long story) but basically its a Liteon/Gateway PA-1650-02
Specifications:
Input: 100-240V, 50/60Hz
Output: 19V, 3.42A, 65W
UCODE:U022

And I was wondering if I could use my IBM AC Adapter with the following specs:
Output Voltage: 16V
Output Watts: 72W
Output Amp: 4.5A
Input Voltage: 100-240V 50/60 Hz (Worldwide Compatible)

would this be an ok substitute for maybe 8 hours of use? I see that the voltage is less, so that shouldnt be a problem, maybe a little less of a charge on the battery, and more Amps and watts given, so maybe that would be a problem, or would that be a benefit so that I have more headroom?

It's likely to damage the laptop unless you use a AC adapter that has matching voltage and amperage output values.
