Hard drive formatting/partioning

When Im done configuring my BIOS (first bootup) and save settings and exit... what should i expect after that? (as you can tell, ive never built a PC before, im just making preperations because Im getting my package tomorrow :) )

Depending on which OS you are getting it may be as easy as setting the BIOS to boot off the CDROM drive, sticking in the OS CD and hitting reboot, and then just follow the prompts.

What OS are you planning to use?

yeah..he's right. I built my first one a few months ago, and iwas pretty clueless about what to do to install the OS. But if you are using a new one like win 2000 or even windows 98, all u got to do is make sure that the bios will check the cd drive for a boot disk, once it's got the cd in, it'll 'autorun' so to speak, partition and install. I've done this with windows 2000 and 98..
