The title really says it, i can't afford a really nice power supply, nor can my friends.
I have something that'll work, but they both have ~350w cheap things that will likely explode at the mere thought of a mid to high end video card.
I found this on newegg and my dad bought one, so far it seems to be excellent but he's using embedded graphics:

It does run his amd 810 quite happily, but that isn't that much of a load.
What do y'all think about the linked PS, and what would you recommend for $50 or less?
Ideally more like $30, but beyond something like the Epower that i have i don't see that happening.
Not quite under $50, but this Corsair (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/externalTracking.asp?TrackingID=pageInfo&scriteria=BA25625) would do OK for light to medium loads (single mid-range graphics card and a single drive; OC w/o upping the voltage). They'll likely be back in stock in the next week or so, or you could search elsewhere.

How about the Antec EarthWatts 380? It's $49.99 at the Egg right now, but I don't think there's any rebates or free shipping on it. Personally I wouldn't trust a Raidmax with my expensive hardware. You probably won't be able to run a quad with a high end video card with the EA380, but it is a much better PSU for the money.
Edit: The Antec EA430 is at $54.99 with free shipping at the Egg right now. Very nice price on a high quality PSU.

Would a single 4830 be considered a mid range or a high end? I realized i didn't mention the sort of card in question.
Thank you for the suggestions, too. Don't know how i missed them.
4830 is mid not high.
How do you feel about rebates?

That one is $65 - $25 MIR is only $40 and free shipping. Modular to boot.
The corsair 400 watt is $40 after rebate at the egg.

I say go for the Corsair, much better quality-wise than a Raidmax... Raidmax only makes me think of Powmax, and I don't trust it with a name like that xD

+1. The low end antec earthwatts series are just as solid as the higher end, and they're usually on sale for $20 AR (gl with getting the rebate )

Bob,
Raidmax and Roadside Bomb are about equivelent. As suggested, look for an Antec EA 380 or that Corsair 400 on sale. You get what you pay for and it may prevent you from replacing more that you bargained for.

How silent/loud is EA380 since it has small 80mm fan?

If I were you I would look into the earthwatts line as a few others suggested. I used a 650 for about a year on a previous build and my current system and only changed psu because I have future plans of significantly upgrading my system maybe next year to i7 and maybe a gtx 295. Dont skimp out now because later you may want to upgrade to alot stronger gpu and will be limited by a cheap psu.

they are pretty good quiet wise... the 380 is in my htpc... (e7200 @ 3.2ghz @ 1.2500v) gigabyte p35 ds3l, 2 optical drives, 80gb pata hd, 7600gt KO 512. and after a two hour movie (cpu usage 70-90% for the most part - ffdshow filters use alota cpu usage) the fan spins up but not a whole lot.

+1. I have done a few of the EarthWatts PSU's in some clients rigs and they have run nearly silent. I have the Neo 500 in my rig and it is nearly silent as well.
