I found this on anandtechs forum. BB has the BFG GTX 285 on clearance. This is in store only. I checked about 4 local BB's before finding one. The online site won't show if it is in stock. You have to either go in store or call. Prices will vary by store. This is a smoking deal if you can find one.

If someone lives near Westland Michigan. The Westland BB had one left for $243.:beer:

I went from a GTX 260 to the GTX 285 and i didnt notice any gains other than benchmarks but im only running 1680x1050 so the GTX 260 wasnt having any problems running my games.Sold the GTX 285 and bought two more GTX260's.But that is a good deal

In some games it will be, but the ones that really take advantage of SLI won't see an amazing improvement going from the GX2 to the 285. I did exactly that and was happy with my decision, granted I quickly had a second one on order for SLI, and am planning to add a 3rd soon.

But yes, it is a slight upgrade in game. Bench tests will be pretty close with the GX2 winning in several areas over a single 285.

EDIT: I game at 1920x1200. Depending on what res you are running YMMV

gx2 is still good enough for me I guess. but if there is a one card solution that beats it, i will upgrade then.
i'm not gaming as much as i used to :) maybe upgrade when starcraft 2 comes out for ****s n giggles.
