I just bought Sims 3 and downloaded it through EA's download manager. It saved all of the install files to one folder on my drive, then I installed them separately, unlike Steam where the D/L and install occurs simultaneously.
My questions is: am I able to burn the game to a disc, so I don't have to redownload it everytime I reinstall it?
thanks

Yeah, I'd say you definitely want to burn a backup of it. Last time I looked at the EA Downloader Store, you only had access to download your game for 6 months after you bought it, unless you paid extra then you could download it for 2 years. That's just silly.

yup pretty ridiculous, but I got a pretty good deal on it on eBay, so I had to give it a try. I will let you guys know how the burn turns out once I get around to doing it

Did you pay more than $25 for it?
People purchased those game cards in BBY for $5 for $10 in ea cash, purchased a ton of the virtual market and sold for a premium on ebay.
