I like the reputation i hear from newegg.com. Seems like a great place, but they don't ship to canada. Does anyone know of any good, reputable companies that offer decent prices. Consumer/wholesale companies are good. Need this for a future business venture. If there's nothing to fit this, maybe some good places in the states that have decent shipping to canada.
Cheers:beer:

You are in luck, it seems every new Canadian member asks this question....maybe we should make a sticky? (Looks at mods) :)
And personally, I used www.ncix.com, and they were great, although shipping was a little slow. (But hten again, it was over the holidays)
Hope this helps. :D

They don't seem to have much of a selection though, 4 mobo's, 2ram, 3 proc, seems they're geared toward cooling and strictly amd products.
Hi guys,

Dont seem too bad, but i dont know what u guys are payin?
Just a thought tho...

Murgen,
Thank you for supplying the Canadian links... Could you give me some feed-back about ATIC's sales services and any pro's or cons about them... They have the absolute best pricing and parts available that I have seen online for a CDN dealer...
The only concern I have really is this... They only accept money via certified check, wire transfer, money order etc... WTF with no VISA / Mastercard on line or over the telephone???
Your thoughts...
Regards
Teken
Sorry about the slow reply.
Atic is generally reguarded with average support, customer service, but they have very good prices. That is the main reason I would buy from there.
About Visa, some places don't accept CC except in person because of past experiences with CC fraud. They might have had a bad experience with CC and just tossed the idea out the window.
Check out their rating (http://www.computers-canada.com/rating.html?vendID=305) at a sort of reseller ratings for canada.

I usually buy from Atic because of their prices as well, but I'm not sure I'd do business with them online. I've seen and heard of a lot of "customer service" problems in-store even. But I guess I've lucked out and haven't had any troubles myself.
http://www.amkcomputer.com/ seems to have gone out of business now. I bought a few fans from them. Kind of pricey, but cheaper than paying shipping.
Man it's tough to find a decent online Canadian site that doesn't overcharge for shipping. The thing I hate most is how they charge 3% extra for VISA orders.

GEEEZ MAN!! HAVE SOME RESPECT!!!
One thing I seem to have a problem doing, is finding a decent site that has some of the older motherboards. Can't find a ST6 !!
Murgen,
Now it's my turn to apologize for the late reply...:D I just wanted all of my Canadian brothers to know that I bought a few things from this vendor with amazing service and (free ground shipping) within Canada only... :)
Please follow the link... www.ablecomponent.com They do not have the lowest price on the open market vs www.atic.ca But I take the following into considering first !!!
1. They accept all major credit cards via on-line ordering or via phone...
2. They are now offering on a limited time free ground shipping within Canada, which in my case offset the lower prices at Atic...
3. They obviously do not charge PST on any transaction outside of their respective territory...
4. They are rated 4 stars in the CNET web site where I stumbled upon them... So this is good to know...
Please ask for Nancy Hui who was my sales person for this $1400.00 plus order that came 2 days early !!!
Regards
Teken<---Who was very happy he didn't have to fork over $$$ to someone in who knows where via certified cheque, wire transfer, money order and not know if he would have the same very protection he has with his CC VISA Platinum card... :(
Wow, that is a good deal!
Just to let you know, the link does not work, as ablecomponent was misspelled.
Great heads up though!
Sorry...:eh?: I should have proof read that over to ensure the proper URL was linked for all the Canadian members...
Thanks for the heads up on the typo...:D

Thanks for the links Winnipeg Jets!
In my opinion www.ncix.com is the best Canadian site around. Atic has slightly lower prices on a couple things but NCIX is extreamly easy to use, has pictures of most items, has forum type things for each item for people to post questions about the item, has fast customer service, has very good shipping rates, and most importantly the prices are very attractive.

03-27-02, 09:03 AM
I agree that it has a very user friendly website. As far as the customer service goes,, I have yet to see. I ordered a PSU on saturday, and apparently it was shipped on Tuesday after sending a few e-mails to them just so they don't forget about me as I heard bad things about them AFTER I placed my order.

Man am I glad I found this thread, it's something that has been driving me crazy since I got into this country.
For the Niagara region of Ontario, I know about this guy whose prices are not bad. You order by email for pickup, he does local deliveries for a fee, don't know if he can arrange shipping, but he's a friendly dude, so no harm asking. www.discounthomepc.com
Now I'm buying most of a machine, and was going to get it from this guy, but I think I might have a looksee at some of these links to see if I can do better.

Hey AudiMan this is the first time I've noticed you live in Winnipeg too. :)
MLH Systems is actually run by a friend of mine, out of his house on River Ave. Nice guys and good prices, plus you can pick stuff up and save shipping.

03-29-02, 02:31 PM
Yeah, exactly my point. He has low prices too. I was gonna stop by because I thought it was like a regular public store heheh. Except I can't drive. I lost my liscense for 6 months cuz I got busted for racing on Portage on a sunday night :P I can only drive to work and back home,,, kinda sucks.
Do you know of any other hardcore computer shops in Winnipeg?
Unfortunatly we seem to be lacking in really good computer shops around here from what I know. Mike's (the guy who runs MLH Systems) the only local guy I'd deal with. I'll let you know if I find out about any other stores. Some good news though Mike is planning on going full time with his business (until now he had another job during the day) and moving it to an actual store. I've been meaning to ask him where it'll be located. Not sure how soon it'll be open, but I'd assume in the next 3 or 4 months.
Sorry to hear abotu your license. I know how that is, I lost mine for 5 months for trying to get away from the cops. It woulda worked had some pedestrian not pointed out where I went :/

Any help would be appreciated,,, thanks.

I just odered from www.anitec.ca they seem friendly and helpful by e-mail, had to mail off a money order of course, so there's a bit of a wait, but should be worth it for the $200 or so I'd save, and I think I'm getting better hardware than I might have done too.
I'll let you know how it goes.

The only thing about anitec or atic, is that they dont like returns :/
I stumbled on to this web page witch has links to Toronto based e-tailers... I have not had any previous dealings with any of the listed companies, but am simply supplying some URL's for those in the market...

Even thou its been mentioned,I'll do it again.WWW.NTCW.com like some of the variety these guys have, fills in a gap that ncix sometimes has.I've only bought a H.D. and cables from them and everything went cool.Shipping was $,and when ordering on-line the page was'nt locked(don't know if that matters). But the deal was smooth.I sure like his selction on HS/F's,and price wise there as good as ncix.
Hope this guy stays a float.I'll buy from him again.

If you live in the GTA you have to check out www.canadacomputers.com and www.infonec.com. Both have great prices and have multiple locations in the GTA. I have built many machines using these two almost exclusively.
And to answer mikester's question, I have made 2 returns to Canada Computers, with no questions asked.

I just ordered a new k6-2 550 from these guys a week ago and they seem pretty good, really cheap RAM prices but for the most part it just says "Major brand" so I wouldnt expect that stuff to OC a lot. some of their stuff is cheap, some is expensive so make sure you shop around.

The Pc Canada store that murgen mentioned is great, I have had outstanding service with them. When I was having a problem with my comp and I thought it was my cpu from them, I brought it in and they were already running tests for someone on their testing rig, so they just handed me a new said they would take care of the old one, and when I had an incompatibility with some samsung ram and my motherboard, I brought it in and they got me a different brand in an instant.
They have a nice setup in their store and a wide range of products.

I thought I had posted here about it but guess I forgot.
Got some parts AX-7, Tornado 84cfm, Antec Truepower 430, ASIII, WD40G 7200rpm. from www.mlhsystems.com price was good, service was good, packing was good, shipping was swift.
They are not the very cheapest on a lot of stuff, but since they are one of the only places that carry Antec PSUs and AX7s it was still cheaper than buying from the US. They had a small query with my order and contacted me right away too, so they are good to deal with.
Good balance between price and service.

The guy who runs MLH is a friend of mine (I live in Winnipeg). I'm glad to hear people saying they had a good experience ordering from him. He deffinatly knows how to run his business right if you ask me. His store is the only place in Winnipeg to find a lot of good quality parts, and his prices are very reasonable.
He just opened up a store in July, until then he was running the busniess out of his house for around 3 years. He had boxes stacked all over the place.

my friend just bought a new com and we went to canadacomputers.com (they have location in downtown toronto, and markham) their prices aren't bad (some things cheaper than other places, some things more expensive). we didn't want to order around from everywhere so we decided to just get everything here. they kind of have a warranty thing. i forget for how long though. we also went to this place because it was within 5min walking distance to his house.
ATIC's prices aren't so great, and their customer service sucks.
Want ATIC prices, but full online ordering? Go to www.ncix.com and place your order. Before you confirm it, use their price matching feature. They price match any store in the GVRD. Plus their cust service is waaaaaaaay better. I've visited the store (used to live on the coast) and they know how to treat a customer.

Watercooling / mod dealers in Canada I've got bookmarked:
bigfootcomputers.com (have ordered a couple of times, went fine)
e-compuvision.com (have ordered several times, great service)
inmind.ca (the canadian danger den dealer. bought my maze3 from them, no problems.)
computuning.com (haven't ordered from them, but they have interesting products)
tweakbox.com (overpriced, good service when I dealt with them before, but they have since changed ownership, so I'm unsure how that's affected things)
dealsdirect.ca (great service for me, but I'm local)
ncix.com (cheap, fast, no PST!)
arcticmods.com (haven't ordered from them, a few items I haven't seen elsewhere)
hope that helps.
Lately I have been doing most of my ordering at www.hltechnology.com. Great prices (same as Atic or NCIX, some thing a few dollars cheaper), Great service, fast local shipping.
Once they forgot an item in my order, I emailed them, they had it shipped that same day.

Retailers I've bought from so far:
Memory Express (Calgary) -- excellent prices but a warehouse atmosphere which means you feel like you're at a bank: they want you in and out fast.
Premier Computing (TO I think) -- decent prices but not great selection.
NCIX (Vancouver) -- good selection but they often inflate the prices of fast moving products to make a quick $ and they charge you immediately regardless of when they ship (which is ridiculous IMO).
Firestorm NE (Calgary) as at 2002 -- some ridiculously high prices on many components. I've seen some bait and switch tactics with them also. They have good CS if you know what you're talking about... but if you don't you'll be taken IMO.

Hrmmmmm, a fellow Calgarian :D
Yeah, agreed on Firestorm. I was looking for W/C parts and saw they said they had Black Ice Extreme rads. So I went down and asked for two. The guy gave me two Black Ice Primes. I asked him if these were the Extremes(I knew they weren't), and he said yes. I asked him how much and he said 132 bucks each(price of the Extreme).
I calmly pulled out my measuring tape and explained to him that the Extreme is 43mm thick, while the Prime is 25mm thick and showed him that the rad measured 25mm.
Only buy from them if you know exactly what you're looking for and know exactly how to identify it.
Memory Express is pretty much the premier PC store in Calgary. Yeah it's a warehouse atmosphere, but they're smart guys. I went to buy a Gigabyte 7DXR while back with a Swiftech 462 heatsink. He told me if I want to use the Swiftech, I'd have to grind a bit off the corner or else it would sit on top of a capacitor and wouldn't make full contact and it would fry my processor.
I doubt Firestorm would have known that :o
Anyways, any Calgarians 'round here know where in Calgary I can get an Abit NF7-S? Memory Express doesn't have it it seems :(

There are a couple of places in the lower main land that will price match ATIC's prices:

www.NCIX.com (Burnaby)
Lately I have been getting all my stuff from HLTechnology, great guys. I hate ATIC too. I just bought a monitor from them because their site listed it at $205, but when I got there, the guy told me it's $210. I asked about the site and he said he wasn't sure why it was like that, but he wouldn't give me the $205 price. I live in Richmond, so rather than going on a wild goose chase to another store, I decided to fork over the extra 5 bucks.
I think the guy the posted pricenetwork.com mistyped as it is US ;)
All you Canadians might wanna try Pricenetork.caPricenetwork.ca (http://www.pricenetwork.ca) I found them a month ago, and they have a price search, reseller ratings and hot deals and coupons in the forums. I usually use the price search to find a good price then pricematch with a local company. And if they don't have any of the companies you mentioned in their database, just drop them a line in the forum and they will add them.

What about that little "prices subject to change without notice" disclaimer that they have? Can't they just use that as a defence? I would LOVE to nail those stores that try to lower the price for ads, but jack it up once you're there.

Do you know any other stores in the Coquitlam / Port Coquitlam area of B.C?
Edit: I went to A-Link a few months ago and purchased a hdd, all went well and my only complaint was their poor English. It is an advertised price - to my knowledge - if your can prove / show - that they advertised a lower price then what they try to charge you (with in the limits of the advertisment time), it is against the law.
It is more or less "false advertising" if they charge you a diff. price once @ the store.
prices are subjected to change, but "reasonable" warning must be given.
i am almost SURE
if u saw say a p4 3.06Ghz for $200 in the newspaper and then went there and it was $300 - and they would not give reason why - that is "false" advertising. - law suit :)
but u may want to get a lawyer opinion on that.

You got that right. ATIC is one of the crappiest companies I've dealt with. Their CS reps are jack@sses. If it wasn't for their cheap prices, they would've folded a long time ago.
But I don't get it. If they upgrade their service, they'll probably win the entire Vancouver market. A lot of my buddies rather pay more than to buy from them.

When buying from Atic:
1. Call before going there to see if it's in stock.
2. Don't use mail order, go in person so you can see the actual item. (So I guess only Vancouver folks should only buy from them)
3. Only buy retail items from them so you can RMA to the manufactor if you have problems.
After saying this, I've bought many things from them including OEM items over the years and never had a problem. For the stuff I bought, it was the cheapest available at the time.
But I do feel like THEY are doing me a favour instead of the other way around whenever I go in there. But hey, I'm cheap so if I can save $30 on something, I'll buy there like I just did on a DVD burner recently. (retail of course!:p )

All you Canadians might wanna try Pricenetwork.caPricenetwork.ca (http://www.pricenetwork.ca) I found them a month ago, and they have a price search, reseller ratings and hot deals and coupons in the forums. I usually use the price search to find a good price then pricematch with a local company. And if they don't have any of the companies you mentioned in their database, just drop them a line in the forum and they will add them.
Yep, Pricenetwork.ca is quite useful now. It used to be kind of screwed up and a few months ago I found like 10 websites listing Radeon 9700 Pro's for $200 CDN on Pricenetwork, and then the price was $500 in the store webpage  , but now those problems have seemed to have disappeared.

DO NOT buy from vibecomputers.
They just charged $375 to my Visa because they messed up my original order, and refuse to ship me the correct parts. (long story)
They're cheap (not talking about pricing, which, after the 3% non cash charge, isn't anything spectacular) and have no interest in customer service in the long run. If it ain't easy, they'll just cut their losses and screw the customer.
Two months later and they not only have not completed my order correctly but refuse to do so.

I don't know if this has been said, but if you're Canadian and your buying a lot of expensive stuff you'll save a lot of cash ording out of Province. Why? If you havn't figured it out yet you don't have to pay that extra PST. So if you live in Ontario order from NCIX or if you live in BC order from Bigfootcomputers. I know for a fact that I got fast cheap shipping ordering from NCIX (You'll be surprised how fast UPS can take a parcel cross country [1500-2000miles] in 2 days), not by air mail, I'm talking ground shipping.

Yep - www.tigerdirect.ca - they sell them for a good price too, although they are a little sketchy to deal with. I got my very hard to find (in Canada) Black Full-Tower, Factory Windowed case there, but I wouldn't buy any computer parts from them ever again.
I got my OCZ PC 3500 EL RAM there, and had to RMA it to OCZ due to bad shipping/mishandling on tigerdirect's part - long story, but it ended well - and I will never buy computer parts from tigerdirect again. Really, really low price on the RAM though- and absolutely awesome RAM too; ironically one of the best purchase I've ever made.

Canada rules eh!
Personally, NCIX and NTCW are my favourites. I dont like paying for shipping when i can just go pick it up myself.
If you re in the north vancouver area, don't go to INTERACTION computers. I got my computer from there and they mark everything up like 20 bucks. And recently i took my video card in to get the heatsink repinned, and they BROKE my crt port. So i had to take it back in, and they re sending it back to their manufacturer, so im stuck on a geforce4mx440 they gave me until my card comes back. Argggggggh, the hassels. OK service, but this hassel has really turned me off them. TWO MONTHS WITHOUT A GOOD VIDEO CARD!!!

I usually order from either at www.vibecomputers.com or www.ncix.com
I live nearby so I just pick up my goods.
I recently order some ramsinks from ncix. I went to the Burnaby store and had to wait 1/2 hour to speak to someone. Their store was the most unprofessional I had ever seen:mad: .
They have all of about 15 square feet of floor space to stand in and delivery guys use the front store entrance causing even more problems. I will NEVER buy something from ncix AGAIN.
They run that store like a bunch of amatures:mad: .

Vibe is my favourite, and as you've said NCIX is crazy. I went to the NCIX RMA dept. once it was ridiculous, people were flying in and out of their like you wouldn't believe. They give you this little place to sit but they have a ton of room behind the scenes. And, of course no one knows what they're talking about

well, i orderered from www.ncix.com and they were very professional on the phone when changing my order and very prompt. I love how they keep u updated w/ everything that's happening w/ your order from processing to billing to shipping. I don't know about their store service but their online ordering was topnotch. They just had a march break special were they were selling the barton m 2500+ for $120cdn! www.vibecomputers.com is also good for those out west.:)
As for Toronto, www.canadacomputers.com, www.infonec.com, & www.computerlinksystems.com, are about the cheapest u'll find hardware, but don't expect any customer service from canadacomputers (infonec are a lil better). It's a get in get out deal, u better know what u want cause this ain't no futureshop where the employees will elaborate on the hardware and patt u on the back. If u don't know what u want research BEFORE u go there. And don't go on a weekend cause there lineups are ridiculous.
As for cooling & overclocking gear, i can't recommend anyone better than www.bigfootcomputers.com. U'll be taken care of if u ever have a problem w/ you hardware and their cooling gear prices are very competitive.
Cheers.

Some good prices, the odd deal. All depends on what you're looking for. I'd recommend NCIX if you want to save on PST (damned 8%), but if you need it NOW, any of these places above should have what you are looking for at a reasonable price.

To price match at NCIX, simply add the items you want to your cart and then go to view your cart. Scroll down and you'll see the "Price Match" heading. You can start your price matching from here by clicking the "Start Price Match" button. As far as I know, you can order in store though they probably won't have everything you want in stock.

If a particular vendor does not ship to a certain area of Canada or has excessively high shipping fees, please state so when posting their link, it would save many people the trouble of wasting time going through their site.
For example, an online vendor in Vancouver which will not ship to southwestern Ontario is useless to those of us in SW Ont.
Unfortunately for me there are no online computer vendors anywhere near my area so going to pick up my purchase by car is not worth it, and all the local computer stores are extremely expensive.

Compusmart isn't bad, but it's quite overpriced on most components, moreso than stores like Future Shop in most instances. Stores such as Dangeo or NCIX still provide better prices and selection, especially in considering overclocking. ;)
i was just drawn to the x800 prices with free shipping. ;)

My parents live in Michigan and I visit them once every week, so I buy lots of electronics from any retailer including newegg. I've helped my friends in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Toronto save hundreds of dollars on digital cameras, computer parts, mountainbike equipment or anything that's not sold in Canada. No sales tax on out-of-state merchandise deal is something us Canadians can never dream of except Albertans. (Yes, you still pay the GST, but that's still 7%)
If anyone wants to hook up, just pm me. I usually go to my parents on Friday evening and get back on Sunday afternoon. I still need to get food supply from my mom. :)
I've seen a lot of people mentioning bigfootcomputers.com
They're an excellent, professional site. They handle orders well, and will help you out very quickly if they mess up (they've sent me the wrong product once. Fired me the right product and didn't ask for the old ones back).
Their storefront is clean, and they have a LARGE stock of equipment.
Their only downside is that they're a little on the pricey side.

Bigfoot computers seems like its the best Computer place in Canada, I really like their site, good selection, good prices too.. I've only heard good stuff about em.. I'm gonna try them out and see what turns out :)
ok i havent tried all the websites but heres what i found
best for hardware (in Quebec, so i dunno about shipping i go pick up my stuff at the store)
www.shoplci.com
www.cipc-info.com for SOME parts
best for cooling and modding
www.bigfootcomputers.com (free shipping >100$)
www.vibecomputers.com (dunno about shipping)
honorable mention
www.ncix.com (dunno about shipping)
bigfootcomputers... great products and staff, and for me its walking distance away. Prices for hardware are way too much, but they have a ton of great stuff for modding and a wide selection of cases. pccanada.com has some of the lowest prices around. canadacomputers.com has some good pricing on somethings, and is conviently located in the city.

Bigfootcomputers.com sucks.
they made me wait for a mobo for 24 days, they said they had in stock and than told me they would get it in a week and this went on for 24 days after i was like holy **** and ordered it from NCIX.com for much less.
Their prices are very high and they price gouge when the x800 xt was hard to get. they were selling the cards at $799 which is 150 more than any other stores.

I am very iffy on that company there website is BAD!! lots of type-os and they don't list if Graphics cards are agp or PCIe, they also Labled an IBM NetVista computer as having a 1GB CPU,

I dont know if it has been added, but www.canadacomputers.com. They have 5-6 stores in the GTA and surrounding regions, dirt cheap prices, and free shipping, just pay a $10 handeling fee. Right now they dont accept CC online (they say they will soon), but they do accept debit payment as a bill payment online. I always use my debit. I suggest ordering on Sunday, they get the payment monday, ship it by thursday, you get it friday via UPS ground (in my experiance).

WOOT! Newegg to Canada!!
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=409321
I'm surprised I'm saying this but I've had a less than good experience with NCIX now. I ordered memory, an optical drive and a nibbler. The nibbler is the important part as I'm stuck on air cooling until I can open up the bottom of my new case a bit. Anyhow I placed the order and, according to the updates they themselves sent me, it would appear they completely processed my order, boxed everything up ready to go...
and then just let it sit there a full week until I emailed them asking what the delay was, at which point they shipped it. Meanwhile they had a new sale that started the day before my order left their warehouse and the optical drive was $10 off. I should get my shipment tomorrow, hopefully the product will be better than the customer service.
Well it took a bit of back-and-forth over email about it but I just received an email that NCIX is reimbursing my credit card the price difference. So they not only have a good system that works for the customer most of the time but if a problem does come up they are willing to work to make it right.
NCIX's shipping/customer service has been going down hill recently. Paid for express shipping and lets see placed the order Monday morning sent the money same day. They've processed the order and now its sitting in a box... I messaged them about it because I need the psu and ram before the weekend. They said its 1-2 days for them to process payment then 1-2 days for them to ship. So I won't have anything until monday after the long weekend... I tell them I need it asap they tell me oh it can and probably will take the full 4 business days for it to ship. They also barely reply to me and my inquiries.
Seriously thinking about just paying the extra and keeping my business local.

NCIX is going downhill period. I was at there place last week, it took 10min just to get someone to help me, then when they could not understand what I was asking for, they pushed me to a computer and I showed them on there own website what I wanted and it said "in stock" the Asian guy I was dealing with went over to someone else then came back and said "sorry we no have" I showed him the "in stock" but he said "sorry we not updated"
Anitec has even worse customer service, but at least they have good prices and usually have stock.
I am just lucky that I am within 20min drive of NCIX, Anitec and several other large computer stores.
Ah glad to see I'm not the only one... Oh well I got a msg back saying I should maybe get a tracking number within the hour. So I'm hoping that they managed to push the order out.
Edit: Just got the tracking number...

I won't lie - I only looked through the first page and I saw ncix.com a lot. Maybe for western Canada it's a good idea but the best prices I found in the GTA are from:
www.infonec.com
www.pccanada.com
www.canadacomputers.com
www.logiccomputerhouse.com
in that order. Infonec has the lowest prices I've seen on the net throughout Canada, ESPECIALLY if you live in that area and can pick the parts up. I'm going to buy my new rig through them because they're prices are just so much lower.
Hope that helps!

In my experience as I mentioned earlier I highly recommend PC Canada. They always seem to have stock and if they don't can get it in quickly. Their prices are good and if its a few bucks I find its well worth it to shop there since they are very helpful if you have a problem with something you have bought there. They have went over the top for me there to help test parts that I thought may be faulty to help me figure out a problem.
The store I will advise against no matter how low the price, is logic computer house. These guys are the scum of all computer retailers in the GTA if you ask me.
What happens at Logic Computer House?
I bought a 512mb stick of ram from them, told them what board I was using it on.
Tried it out, didn't work with my board, I went right back to get them to switch it for another one of their generic sticks with different chips. They wouldn't do it.
They said they would test the stick to make sure it worked. Of course I had to wait 2 days for this.
I went back, they said nothing was wrong with it and I owed them 30 bucks.
I refused to pay and told them it was obviously a problem between my board and that ram module, all I wanted to do was switch, they had obviously tested it and it was in working order, and they still wouldnt.
Most unfriendly staff ever at this place, they talk down to you, give you attitude, ignore you, and have the worst policies.
They also refused to send in an RMA for a T-bird I bought from them that was still under warranty that stopped working. There was no physical damage to it, and they refused because I had scratches on the bottom of the AMD heatsink, and accused me of not knowing what the hell I was doing. (note, I brought the chip in while it was still on the board with a different heatsink and I never used the AMD heatsink and only brought it in because there was a no. ontop of the fan that was required) I ended up looking for a new CPU I didn;t know what to do (I was new to all this) and Bigfoot rather than making a sale for themselves, which they could have done so easilly, told me to call AMD and within a few days had a new cpu en route to my house. So I would also highly recommend bigfoot, I have dealt with them a few times and they have always been very helpful.
Since we're bashing companies as well as praising them I gotta throw in Sonnam in as a company to avoid like the plague. Truely horrible (lack of) customer service. When their product is defective (right out of the box too) they recommend you purchase a replacement from someone else and use that instead. Heaven forbid they actually give you your money back though. Unfortunately it was generic memory so I couldn't find the manufacturer.

I find PCCANADA, NCIX, ANITEC.CA to be the best. E.g. - eVGA e-GeForce 7800GT Anitec Price: $349.99. Cheapest in Canada!

just wondering... this is for any mods...
If i was to go through all 6 pages of this, gather up all the retailers... would some one mod modify the first post(as the guy hasn't been here for 7+ months) and post all of the canadian retailers. I just wanna clean up this sticky and save people alot of time, like me, going through page after page, and just make it a simple first thread click...
Thanks.
I think you should PM a mod, I am sure they will help you out if you are willing to sort through this mess. A lot of the links are dead now anyway.

I was slightly maintaining it, because it did not get stickied I figured it was not really something people cared about. I maintained it a little more on my webserver until about 2 months ago when I whiped the server, I know there are a few dead links.
EDIT:
Updated the page, added new links, and listed which links are dead.
