Ok heres the problem. I have a new athlon xp1600 and my problem comes when i oc it. It runs fine at 10.5*150. It will run and boot a 160 but when i try windows it says a file is corrupt. is there any way to prevent this like a reinstall? my temps are 37 idle and 43 load....

Sounds like your HDD can't handle the oc. What's the specs on your HDD(s). Raid/no raid?
its a IBM 10 gig 7200 rpm, i know its not the harddrive because on the old xp it ran at 166 fsb no problem....

Could be a new mem or mobo... what about the chip? is it unlocked? I got corrupted files when I was too far overclocked on my (ex)-K6-III... It gave me same error... After I lowered speed or increased voltage it stoped.
the chip is not unlocked... but this is the same motherboard and memory that ran the other xp1600, i think it might be the motherboard, which is no big deal i will just wait for the AK 35
