Hi I was wondering what are some good GTX 280 waterblocks. I can't seem to find many anywhere but I found 2 that I'm looking at:

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240&products_id=25699

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240&products_id=24149

Also, I was wondering if GTX 260 waterblocks are compatible with the GTX 280. It seems on some sites that it skips right over my card (ex: 260/275/280), and on some cards it even says that it's a 260/280 waterblock. Any help or recommendations for GTX 280 waterblocks?

the first block won't work, its 285.

the second should work, but there are so many stupid revision and refrence vs non reference i don't pay attention, why that have to mess crap up like that and make it harder for the block makers is beyond me.

my advise is go with the second one (dd block, if it fits) or check out ek blocks.

or go with a core only block and ramsinks.

The one I have used twice on two seperate cards is the Danger Den GTX 280 block. It's called the Teiton. Good block.

The 280 was naver redone like the 260 was, so there is nothing but reference GPU cards for it, thank goodness.

For the second one I'd probably have to buy new barbs seeing how my tubing is 7/16" ID. Or would the stock fittings for the website (3/8" or 1/2" ID) barbs work for 7/16"?

I used an XSPC on my 280 which is sometimes sold as a 260 only block.

worked a treat and no trouble thus far....

just a thought to try and open up the options on your hunt :)

theres not forced to be a deal if anything in performance between any of them.

hope you get one sorted soon.

7/16" tubing will work in 1/2 tubing with a bit of work, there is not 7/16" barbs, so your most likely using compression fittings or 1/2" barbs.

The 'Original' 260 had the exact same layout as the 280. So yea, until they changed die size 9and board layout) it worked great.

So would I have to buy new fittings or would the stock ones fit my tubing? See my post above for the size.

it should fit your tubing, what size is it? 7/16" tubing? that will fit on 1/2" barbs.
