Well my brother moved out there recently and just hasnt had time to get his internet setup or at least find an ISP that didn't seem a bit shadey (so Im told). So I offered to look around for him. However, since I live in Colorado and not New Jersey I really have no idea.
So while I am looking for ISP's I was wondering if any of my OC brothers and sisters happen to have some actual experience or opinions about the ISPs out there or could recommend one. A cheaper one would be prefered since he doesn't do much more than surf the web and some online gaming. But something under 50/month is really a must. So personal experience with NJ ISP's is much preffered, thank you!

Try Verizon FIOS they seem to give you a good speed for a good price, if not available, road runner is kinda of good too

Well Ive been on their site for 5 minutes now and I already want to stab them in the face.
Their service availability form doesn't work.
Their contact us page is broken.
And it wont accept any selections from the manual drop down for said contact page.
So that is 3 strikes they're out before service has even started.
*edit* looking at verizon again, still seems decent and their DSL package does not require phone service just a physical phone wiring to hook up to so that is a plus.
i have comcast. although I am paying about 50/month. speeds are good. 16mbps download, and it is rated at 2mbps upload, but for some reason i am getting about 7mbps upload. im not gonna complain.
i havent had too many problems with comcast, and their customer service is fine.
also, i believe there is a package for $42/month
i cant speak for either fios or roadrunner.
fios is simply not available in my immediate area but their dsl is pretty good too.. but i have never seen roadrunner in nj. maybe their just in a different location
