Re me message of http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?threadid=58262 I eventually got Office 2000 SR-1 but the Premium edition cos its all I could get within 350km's of me. I'm gonna try Sleeping Tiger's suggestion but if it don't work, how do I make Office 2000 Premium think its Office2000Pro ???
OR
Hod do I uninstall Office2000 Pro SR-1 without using the cd?
I think you'd need the cabs off of the CD or the install.exe off of the cd or something.

I agree with Oni, or you could try a registry hack to delete all mentions of MS office, as well as deleting the ms office folders

Thnx guys, but can u maybe elaborate for me?? Cos I'm really desperate to get Office off so I can put on Office2000 premium SR1 so I can get Outlook to work without asking for me to upgrade after a Win98 ->Win2000 upgrade.

OK
You can try to go into win explorer and delete (SHift Delete) all folders with office content in them.
Then reboot, go to run, regedit. Your registry editor will appear. press Ctrl F, type in Office and enter...the registry editor will search through the entries and find any relating to office, delte it, and press F3 to find the next entry.
WARNING...be careful if you delte non-office registry entries yo umay cause major problems with your OS. You can should make back-ups of your registry before starting.
After finishinig, re-boot and try an instal with your new office CD
