Ok, I'm not quite positive on the relationship between my CPU clock and my memory, but here's what I've managed to gather by reading this forum a bit:
I'd get faster RAM to give me more liberty in setting its clock speed. Higher speed RAM will more easily reach the frequencies I might desire to optimize my OC, whereas lower stock frequency would require overclocking to achieve the same.
I'd get RAM with tighter timings for a similar reason, more liberty in setting my timings.
Mushkin, OCZ, Kingston, and Corsair are among the generally trusted RAM manufacturers.
I'm interested to know if any of the above is incorrect and any of the above can be expanded upon/made more accurate succinctly. I'm also looking specifically at 1333MHz RAM, is that good for an i7 build I'm planning on holding around 4GHz+? Specifically, I was looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226032 .
I'd love to hear whatever advice you guys have, thanks a ton.
