new power supply

i dont thing my psu generates enough power to run my computer correctly. if i buy a new psu, will it improve performance. can anyone recommend a cheap ($30-45) but quality 300 or 350 watt psu?

I got my Antec 350 for $50. Its great. Antec also has a 300 for $25
