So I got a "10.2" eeepc netbook and I am looking to get some free games to play on it.
When I mean free I dont mean pirated downloads or emulators or anything of the such.
I already have Track Mania Nations, and NFS Underground installed and both are playable so looks like running mid range to low end games are "A"-ok.
With that said I am into RPG's like Final fantasy,Golden Sun,Castlevania SOTN,Zelda,Kotor, ect..
Please no MMO-MMORPG's
I also Like Racing,Shooters "R-Type,MegaMan",Horror,Platformers "Mario Bros., Actraiser, ect..
Thanks for any help you can provide me with!!

Sounds to me like you need a Gametap subscription. They have some free ones, but really, for the money, it's soooooo worth subscribing to the paid section.

I'll help you find some free games... Out in the Mojave desert back in the 80's, Atari buried millions of game cartridges of "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial". I've seen you tube videos of 'lucky' people who've gone out there with a shovel and found these free cartridges and they still work! haha

Cool link... Was hoping to get to play good ol' Mech Commander Gold again. Sadly, the download links don't seem to work on that site (tried both MCG and MC2).

"AWW BARF"!! thanks for the offer but no thanks.
Why pay for something I can get mostly for free.
I just wanted to find some "free" games as most of them are lower to mid range system requirement games.
besides most of those games on gametap I can play on emulators which I am pretty sure I said I didnt want up above.

Ya might have missed the listing somehow. There's some real gems in there. Check out Starscape, at least. http://www.gametap.com/video-games/free-pack-games.html

Hmm how odd the site seems to be down right now. I downloaded Mech gold from it the other day. The site should be back up now.

Hmm.. I knew they had released Elder Scrolls: Arena a long time back for free, didn't know they had Daggerfall too. Gonna install now and give it a try.

Are those EEE's strong enough to run DOSBox?

You can also use Steam, download classic games and run them in Offline mode.
