Holy man, just when you think the T-bird is dead technology, someone comes up with an even more impressive overclock. OK, this is a 1GHz Athlon T-bird with a 266FSB running with 1.85V @ 1733MHz (1.73GHz)

And its running 13 x 133.33

Its cooled by an SK-6 and max load is 50C, pretty impressive setup. My friend got the chip shipped for $120 CAN. Now, you can bet everyone of these are little monsters!

73% overclock.

Ok so how much is he selling it for again? I wonder how far I could push it with 2.25v water cooled. That is a very sweet overclock.

The 1ghz ayhjaR's have been out for quite some time. Most people would get atleast 1.6ghz using air cooling with. They were a huge thing at theoverclockerzstore when they sold em by stepping however they have since gotten pretty rare.

Anyone ever try givin it a little more juice, like 2.1 - 2.3. Chuck in some water cooling at subzero, and you got yourself a processor that's comparable to the latest XP. Maybe he should try movin the FSB, would definetly notice results then.

Cheers

Where'd he get that from??? That'd be the perfect chip to get my little mrother hooked on OCing. (I'm going to build him a system soon.)

um, from a plain old computer shop in the inner city. I take it these chips should be easy to find right away. He just asked for a 1GHz Athlon and thats what they gave him. AMD has huge batchs of these chips now!

DAM I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER GOING WITH THE 1.ghz and not the 1.13 **** MAN THATS A SWEET AS OC with only a sk6 hmmm watercooling or a better heatsink could really make that mother****er FLY.

That is a lucky cpu, wish I had one. Unfortunately, I bought two AYJHA-R's from the overclockerzstore. While they were only $87 shipped 3 or 4 months ago, neither would hit 1600MHz air-cooled stable. They were both about equal, here is the breakdown.

1.80v - 1400MHz
1.85v - 1450MHz
1.98v - 1500MHz
2.08 v - 1540MHz

I remember checking o.c.store everyday for that stepping! I saw it one time, in the 1.4 model!

(should've bought it)
