I have an opportunity to buy one for ~$77 shipped. That's far cheaper than similar cards from a better respected brand manufacturer. I want to know if anyone here used one, or used a similar card GTS/Pro/whatever form AOpen. Is it any good? How's the image quality? It has one feature I find intriguing: OpenBIOS lets you play with core and mem voltages and speeds. Anyone got any comments?

you can overclock through bios using RivaTuner....also if this is the 32mb version dont get it because the mem speed may be 333 which puts it on par with a Gts which can be had from a Reputabel company for less money,,,,,,,i would go with a Gainward Ti or a 7500....

It's not too bad as far image quality goes, pretty much the same as any other GF2 Ti. The heat sinks on it, definately need to be upgraded if you want to OC the card at all.

Yeah well Gainward will cost me ~$30 more, and ATI even more, and I'm on a budget :(. I'm talking about 64MB version w/ TV-out btw. I thought all TI's were clocked the same... 250/400, are 32mb versions really slower? That would suck - I thought only ATI played the sick inferior oems game  . Oh, and can Rivatuner really change voltages on the card? I gotta go try it then! Oh and I had a Visiontek GF2 TI previously, and the memory o/c'd just fine w/o any sinks. What memory does Aopen use?

I have had quiet a lot of experience building computers over the last 11 years. I just RMA'd an AOPEN cdrw. For some reason their products seem to be inferior to most common name brands. I dont know why but i have seen this several times in past. That is why their prices are so low I guess.
