I had a Koolance PC2-601 blue case back in the day I use to build my first AMD64 PC with. I since gave it away years ago.

After spending $190 on a lapped IFX-14 and 3 fans with a controller, I can't help but think I should have gone water cooled again. I have searched all over using Google and eBay and can't find a single, even used, PC2-601 for sale to use with my new build that is in my sig. I know Koolance used to say it would work up to 450watts.

My question is, would a PC2-601 really hold up to a max overclocked 955BE?

Anyone know where I can buy a PC2-601 case, black or blue, or who makes a case just like it nowadays? All the ones I see are disgusting looking, I'm into cars so I'll use the term "rice" to desrcibe their design lol! As you can see in my sig, my current case is the exact same as the PC2-601 but without the liquid cooling. I own 5 of these cases in blue, black, and silver. I just love them, very simple looking.

Thanks!

I'm going to have to go with no. That's basically an EXOS (first generation) hard-mounted on the case. I actually had an EXOS-Al (same components as the cooling in that case) and it couldn't hang with my E8400 OC'ed to the max, much less your 955BE.

You could get a pretty good CPU-only loop for ~$250 if you're interested in getting back into water cooling, so IMHO, yes, you should have gone water. Don't feel bad though b/c you can still use the fans and controller!

those cases were made by lian li..
and koolance added an exos kit on top.

if you like the case a lot, look for lian li cases.

And if u want the H2o option, koolance is OK, but u need to go on there newer stuff, and not old stuff, as they made a complete 180.

Meaning there old stuff was crap, there new stuff is pretty competitive with the top h2o line.

I have an EXOS 1 never been used still in the box. I started to buy some water cooling components a long while back but then never had the money to continue it. Once I did, it was time for a new computer and the EXOS would not be able to handle everything I wanted to throw at it. I've been contemplating using it as a cooler just for my A64 and then upgrading when I finally have the chance, but I would be willing to sell it off.

I'm using a gmail address on these forums so they won't let me sell it here (I don't have an isp email address). If you decide you want it then PM me and maybe we can work out something through ebay and the buy it now option.

you might want to consider the new EXOS 2 system for use on one of your cases, the price is reasonable and it should handle a CPU only loop with no sweat aqnd I believe the new versions have copper Rads.
