Hey,
So I am Building my 2nd Official System. I first used a thermaltake bigwater 760i kit and had no problems but it was a kit. Then me and some buddy's built a system and got custom parts and used some TEC Plates. I just help build it, I didn't purchase any of the Parts. Now I have a GTX 295 and an i7 and want to build my own WC system.

This is what I have now, at the moment im not looking to put a block on my GPU. But in the future I probably will.

Pump - Swiftech MCP655
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swmc12vdcpu.html

CPU Block - Swiftech Apogee™ GTZ Ci7 Extreme Performance Waterblock
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swapgtzexpew.html

Rad - Swiftech MCR320
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swmcqupo3xbl1.html

Tubes - Feser Tube - FT - Active UV Hose - ID 1/2"
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/fetuftacuvho2.html

Rad Fittings - x2 Swiftech High Flow 1/4 BSPP to 1/2in. ID Barb

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/4amm3r/watercoolingsystem.png

My questions:
1. Are these decent quality parts
2. Am I paying too much?
3. Are these all compatible parts(Fitting/Barb/Tubing sizes)?
4. Do I need anything else?

Thanks in Advance

Looks good. Personally I'd go with the MCP355 but there's nothing wrong with that pump. Are you planning on running a T-Line? You Also might want some hose clamps and extra tubing can't hurt. What case is this going in? Oh, I'm assuming you already have fans for the radiator since I dont see any in your cart.

Hey, Thanks!
So I wasn't going to use a T-Line. Should I?
I am using the COOLER MASTER HAF 932. Also will
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171037
be enough for this stuff?
And I forgot about the fans... So how do these look? Also I forgot a Reservoir... so thats there as well.

And I will get some more tubing and some clamps.
Also I forgot to ask if it is worth getting the PT Nuke?
Thanks!

PT Nuke PHN is the way to go if you're going to run distilled+biocide.

T-Line vs res is a matter of preference. A res will bleed faster but running t-line only will save you a bit of cash. But since you got the space. I think you might as well run a res.

If I may make a suggestion this (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swiftechmcp355.html)+this (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsacreforlad.html)= Win (and less tubing and mounting issues.)

I don't know how loud those fans are, but they're deltas so you might want a fan controller as well.

The HAF 932 looks very WC friendly

Make sure to post a build log

Alright sounds good,
So you think I should go with Reservoir and Pump you posted? It is cheaper, so sounds good to me!
You have any recommendations for fans?
Thanks, and will post the build log.

You'll see better static pressure from a 120x38mm fan and again, you've got plenty of room to work with so why not? I have no experience with those deltas so I can't comment on them

I went with these fans (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/pa12hisp.html)but it looks like I cleaned sidewinder out. I also picked up this rheo (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/si50warh.html) but it may be over kill for you. (It's also HUGE). The pump/res combo that I linked you to earlier is so much easier to deal with IMO. I also have a 3x MCP655's and microres's that I don't use anymore.

Unless you are prepared to deal with the noise these fans are capable of unleashing upon your ears , stay away :p , myself i will be getting even higher DB fans but fan controller will be present at all times, as well as the rad you picked out is designed for low/medium speed fans, it will perform better with high speed fans naturally but increase in performance is not worth increase in noise , most people will tell you that . And res pump combo Albaholic linked is wonderful .

I would look at Jab-Tech.com, the radiator, tubing, GTZ, pump, even shipping is cheaper there. Just an idea.

instead of delta's, I would get yate-loon medium or high speed, it'll save you even more money.

that rad has to be mounted vertically to use the res on it. If you are gonna use a res i would get a separate one.

Good catch. I missed that it was the one with the built in res.

1. yes GREAT quality parts
2. you could save $5 on the pump, but pay more in shipping when you order from another company who sells it for less.
3. yes.

i would also go for yates, inexpensive and work great for the price.

Cool thanks guys!
I placed the order, now just need to wait about a week!
I'll post pictures as I build it

did you get the rad+res or did you get the res-less version and a separate res?

I don't think you can use the res at the top of the rad you posted if it is placed in the haf. you might not even be able to get the rad into the haf because of the extra space from the res.

and if oyu aren't using the res in the rad you can save 14 bucks by not getting the res version just getting the basic version.

i got the rad without the res off newegg since sidewinder was out of stock then got the res recommended above, and got 3 low speed scythe fans for it

All my WC parts will be here Friday, then the fun begins, here is a picture in the meantime of my disassembled case getting ready for paint.
The only problem I faced was removing the spring loaded clips for the 5.25 drive bays. Nice chunk of skin is now gone because of that, but other than that it was easy to disassemble. Now I'm going to paint it, assemble it and ill post more pics when I get it done.
Also, is it completely necessary to let it dry for a full 2 weeks? Or is like 3 days enough? I don't know if I have enough patience for 2 weeks.

Ohh very very pretty! You going all out, man I wish I had the paintence etc.
Watching for pics etc.

Ohh ya can resize the pic, 640/480 is usually enuff or make thumbnails.

Best of luck!

Heres a smaller image btw(thanks for the info)
Also, the blue is darker in person so it looks nicer than in the picture. Stupid lighting...

I will say the T-line, when placed at the bottom of the loop, seems to make draining a lot easier.

So, just an update. I built the machine last night! I would have been done last friday but the radiator I got from newegg had a leak in it...
I reordered it, and got it yesterday. So here it is, the cabling needs fixed up still but i figure i show you it all put together at least. I'll post more once I get cabling to look good. Also some more pictures I took during the process.

Thanks!
Sadly, Im in Washingtong and we had a 105 degree day yesterday, record breaking for Washington, and in a non Air conditioned house i was too hot to turn the computer on and install everything after building it. I will install windows today and run HWmon and Prime 95. I'll let you know how it goes.

i know you've probly already bought your parts - but a triple rad seems a lot for a cpu only loop - anyway if you plan to add that beastly 295 in the future - you've saved yourself some time and money!!!

for the new i7's no, a triple is just enough for good overclocks. a double 120mm rad is minimum for stock speeds.

to OP looking great, love the blue paint job.

if your still new to watercooling, always double up on tubing.

Trust me, you never know when you might run into an OOPS.

When i mean this, i mean, if you already don't have a solid image of how your gonna loop it.

Great job on the paint and build. The cabling doesn't even need a ton of cleaning, so you're more than halfway there. Looks sweet!

Heh, think you have enough PSU for your system?

Hey guys, sorry for the late response(been busy with work)
Thanks for everyones comments!

Yeah, the 1000W is just in case upgrades, sadly i chose the wrong board for SLI since it doesn't do 16X-16X... will two 295's on this board be a waste? Also if I do SLI is it 16X-8X or do they both run at 8X?

Just an update with the intel i7 920 D0 and the EVGA X58 SLI LE. I am at 4.1 ghz stable after running prime 95 torchure test(8 tests of each) and benchmarks. Max i got was 71 on cores but it stayed at around 65-68 on all cores, ill post some pics tonight on values and stats.

I figure i play crysis now, was on max setting, was running great at 40-60 fps with the 295(not overclocked yet). However i think its time to add a loop for graphics... my graphics fan decided to go about 25 or 35%, and my GPU cores got to 90C... they cooled down slightly when i put the fan to 100% but that was insanely loud. Will this GPU block be good: (Im NOT running the single layer PCB) http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/aqcoaqforgtx1.html
also with a single radiator do, or do i need to do double for just the GPU?

Spawn-Inc

a double 120mm rad is best for your gpu as it's 2 cards in 1. it will give some room for overclocks as well.
that block will fit your dual pcb GTX295.
