:burn: Hy guys, I创m looking for a notebook, not exactly the top one, I would like at least 128mb memory (256 interested), with a cheap processor, I don创t want to pay expensive for a pIII1.2 today, I prefer the same notebook with pIII800 or celeron800... So that i will pay much more less in the final cost and than can choose good periphereals and acessories... Is the duron for notebooks good? To much power comsumption? Important diference in the battery duration?

I创d like a small thin one, so that I can carry it to anywhere easily, thus with the cdrom unit external an than smaller size are interesting.... I want a really small one, to put in the coat pocket, but mot the hand helds like jornada with windows ce.... If possible a blade or riva tnt 3d graphics acelerator would be very nice... I创m looking for a computer of u$ 500-700, with the cheapest processor possible (except k6II), good ram and a +- 15GB Hd, a cheapo 3d acelerator card, modem, lots of Ram so that it will access less the HD (4k rpm...) It would be used eventually to a game but primarily to word processing , powepoint presentations, internet access and lots of multimidia books compressed in the HD to access anywhere (Like inside the surgical block) Any one can gimme tips about it? I want a small one, thin one. I prefer pay less for a smaller processor and better accessories than an expensive notebook processor and simple addons...

I创m shure that there are some gurus here of the notebook area... (Any one who has a notebook can gimme tips... I创vve never bought once before... so I don创t want to make **** with my small money...
You can just say, what in your notebook you didn创t liked? What woul you buy that you don创t already bought....

Thanks in advance...

I like Sony's, Dells, and IBMs. Go and check out www.cnet.com and see what they like. I would get a P3 and a DVD drive if possible, make sure you get or put in 256mb of RAM and get the best display you can. Thats probably more important than anything.

Ohhh yes... The display is very important... a good lcd one? What are the features I should look for in the displays...? Resolution? I don创t need the biggest one... But shure i wanna good quality one...
I创d like dvd and cd recorder only if external... I创d like one of those very small thin light notebooks.... So that in home i connect the cdrom/dvdrom/ripper unit and use something like virtual drive to carry some book titles inside.... A reasonable winchester would be good too, so I can carry some good musics mp3 inside... By the way, I bought some usb speakers today to the desktop, whow!!! What a quality!!! It made the wort quality musics look good!, And, of course, I think 256mb + celeron is better than pIII+128mb for example, assuming similar prices... As I said, I need something not expensive.Just want some tips not to make ****.... Thanks guys, will look at them...
