Samsung Hard drives

Has any body heard if samsung hard drives are any good?

I just got a Samsung ultra DMA 100, 60 gig, model number SV6003H, 54000 RPMs, for $88.00 USA dollars.

Now did I just score a good deal or is there a reason that it is so cheap?

I've got an old 20GB ATA66 5400RPM drive made by Samsung. Been fine for me so far. I categorize it along the lines of Western Digital. Not too fast, quiet and don't produce as much heat as most others.

Sounds like a real good deal on a 60GB drive.

My cousin has the exact same drive Jon mentioned it makes no noise whatsoever.

And thats definitely a good price as you would only be able to get a 40 gig 7200 rpm with 86 bucls.

They don't fail too.. :D
