What's up with your headphone prices? They're WAY out of whack.

You charge 130$ more than amazon on the following item:
Sennheiser HD600 at newegg! (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106305&Tpk=HD600)

----

Seenheiser HD600 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD600-Over-Ear-Professional-Headphones/dp/B00004SY4H/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1248108745&sr=8-1)

Also, 150$ more than amazon for the following item:
Sennheiser HD650 at newegg! (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106358&Tpk=HD650)

----

Sennheiser HD650 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Audiophile-Dynamic-Stereo-Headphone/dp/B00018MSNI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1248108810&sr=8-1)

Please tell me you'll move this upwards to get something done about it. They're very overpriced. Puts a bad taste in my mouth about you guys (I'm used to top notch service and bottom end pricing but this may be changing and with me reccomending everybody I know to shop here that means that's one chance that they'll overpay grossly for something). :)

"The Sennheiser HD-600's retail for $449 and are an open-back dynamic design. The frame is made out of a faux-granite material and the oversized earpieces ..."

They are both on sale.

Probably a typo of some sort really. If it was an item I was interested in, I have to admit it still wouldnt leave a bad taste in my mouth. I would just get my 'phones elsewhere. here is to hoping they correct it!

They're overcharging on headphones, plain and simple. I can understand if it's not their primary market, but I'd LOVE to buy my headphones from them when the time comes. can't do that when they're so much more expensive.

And Around 330 to 350 isn't uncommon for the HD650.

Also, I'm not mad. I just read that the newegg guy is really cool here so I figured I'd voice one of my few complaints. :)

The title of your thread and the punctuation used would seem to indicate that you are, in fact, livid at them.

I am experiencing a problem right now with Newegg that I feel is more serious than a simple pricing error, but I haven't yelled at the guy...

According to the original retail price, both places are selling them on sale! 449 retail and newegg has them for 399. Thats 50 dollars off. Amazon has them for 288. Thats 161 off. It even says "you save 230 44%"even though that doesnt entirely make sense with a retail of 449, which means amazon may be making it seem better than what it is. Look around more instead of jumping and saying that they are overcharging.

I have read quite a bit. Either way, newegg is the most expensive retailer of the product. that's NOT what I'd expect from a company I've built enough faith in to reccomend to all my friends for anything they'd sell. It used to be that newegg was the place to shop if they had it. now it's obviously not the case.

Buy computer parts at newegg, buy headphones at amazon or some headphone specialty place.

Also, you need a nice amp for the HD 650s and newegg doesn't sell anything that comes close to properly driving them last I checked. ;)

Well of course not. No retail place really does. Most places that sell stuff like that sell it themselves.

! I did not realize NewEgg recently started selling the Sennheiser headphones again!!!! I might look into a pair of the 595s to replace these 555s if they go on sale on the Egg =D

We truly apologize for any inconvenience. I will look into this pricing matter and make sure upper management is aware of this. We thank you for bringing this issue up to us. That's all I wanted to see is some kind of acknowledgment. Hopefully the prices do become lower or more in tune with what the product is valued at by the entirety of the market. I'd still pay some markup just to get it at newegg... but not THAT much.

Obviously generated by the readers, as I meant nothing by it (and I was specifically pointing that out throughout the whole damned thread). Just bringing it up since it's seriously and grossly overpriced. I won't be buying it at newegg unless the pricing does change. I can't find a price more expensive than newegg anywhere, or even within 50$... granted at places I'd willingly shop.

What all you people failed to realize is I simply forgot the smiley at the end of the post. that'd of changed the whole tone of the post.

Don't read so much into the posts... after all it's hard to convey emotion in text. I know it won't change though... I've been complaining about cable shipping prices forever and it still hasn't changed. NOTHING should cost more to ship than to buy it. (Average cable at newegg is under this situation and the shipping is additive most times meaning you pay 9$ per cable instead of 3.49 advertised). Newegg will always win for big things... but anything else I tend to shop elsewhere for these exact reasons.

All things said, I'm just pointing it out. The wife beating comments were unwelcomed, and I was never mad. I just figured I'd point it out. If you guys wanna read too much into my poorly typed commentary then to hell with it. I'll buy them elsewhere. :) <-- Smiley, means I'm not mad. :):):)

Newegg isn't always cheapest or even near market price on items at times. No big deal, I just shop elsewhere, at least when it comes to consumer items I say let the free market work. I guess they might change the prices which would be ok but I also doubt it's a typo.

You should have pointed it out in a PM to the rep or contacted newegg and inquired instead of posting in the vendor discussion thread...

Agreed MadMan, for the past year I have been getting my video cards and processors from ZipZoomFly due to 2 things I can always count on from them(aside from saving at least $5 on these particular items' cost), Free shipping on nearly all their hardware items, and no tax. I get charged a tax from NewEgg due to having items delivered in Tennessee.

It's no big hassle though, for every other item, NewEgg is #1 in my book. And sometimes there are just deals on NewEgg that you just cannot compete with elsewhere! The ShellShocker deals are a good example.

To NewEgg:
+1 for support
+1 for customer care
+1 for quality products
+1 for amazingly easy RMA

Need I forget a big +1 for the NewEgg rep posting on here on his own time to help sort out issues our members might have :)

For the past 6 years I have used NewEgg pretty exclusively, and the ONLY thing that made me frown on NewEgg was the use for a cheaper shipping service when they switched from FedEx Free ExpressSaver shipping to the UPS Ground. FedEx got to my place in quite literally less than 2 days even if the cart says 5-7. UPS sadly takes exactly those 5-7 days for me. But the upside, they STILL to this day provide the same quality care =D That's what keeps me coming back to purchase items from NewEgg, if I have any issue, I can be assured that I won't be left with a company ignoring calls for me to exchange the item.

UPS it's 50-50 for me, between 2 and 3 days. I like the switch now, but at my old apartment, I didn't. It's not cheaper, just different. As far as shipping, UPS seems more professional and easier to deal with in terms of meeting them halfway if you need to do a pickup, etc.

I agree with MadMan ( post #19 ). Let the free market work...let stores charge whatever they feel they can get for an item...AND...let us consumers exercise our right to shop for the best price for a particular item at whatever store has the best price at that moment.

I also have a right to complain to the vendor. Free market, right? If I call up the reps over the phone and get lakeshya while she's doing her nails I ain't getting ****. And it's about as productive as this... but this took less of my time.

Bunches of online places sell them, donno what makes a online store a retailer though.

Technically you can get it from any place that sells the electronics to build a B22. ;)

One more win for newegg.

Aynjell, I like ya bro, but sometimes the way you express yourself gives the wrong impression. The tone and tenor of your Original post came across as belligerent, and borderline abusive. I seriously doubt that's what you meant to convey, but that's what came across, a very angry man.

Not all retailers use the same distributor, or even get the same pricing from their distributors. Sometimes they also fail to priceshop their competition very well, especially on low volume items.

I can appreciate your desire to save money, and if you'd prefer to buy from one retailer over another, that's a personal decisiion. You can ask them to price match a competitor, and they may do so, or they may not.
