Welcome to the Forums.....:D
if that ASUS mobo came out of the HP then i am afraid you may be out of luck, HP neutered them so tehy could not oc.....but if i were in your shoes i would try to find what Model of ASUS it is and flash the bios getting it straight from the ASUS sight....
the CPU speed will be changed in the ADVANCED OPTIONS menu you change it by changing the FSB option and this will be multiplied by 15 to give you your cpu speed.....check out the front page of www.overclockers.com and reading the begginers guides they have there both on overclocking and on flashing the bios...
i think it did come from the hp. I have been trying to find out what the motherboards modle number is and i have not been able to. I tihnk im going to call them anf give them ****..(call hp)

hmmm...it should be written on the mobo...if tht doesnt work try using a porgram such a Sisoft Sandra.....
Branded computers don't overclock very well and OEM motherboards may have lots of features locked one being the fsb, multiplier etc.
You can use Sisoft Sandra, and mainboard information and try to identify your motherboard.
HP and other OEM's tend to lock out features on the mobo
I built a P4 system on an Intel board (socket 478) a couple of weeks ago that required moving a jumper to even get into the bios. Then you had to shut it down and move the jumper back before you could boot back into the OS
everything is set for auto...ram timings and almost everything else could not be changed
cool, you people have been alot of help. You where right HP locks out all the things you need to oc, even in the bios. I'm going to get a new motherboard, and i wanted to know if you know any good one for a p4 running with rdram. Im looking for one thats good for OC.ing and it not that bad price wise.

Upgrading OEM Motherboards are a pain because you need to get a new case, new PSU (Usually OEM computers make their own PSU for a fact I know Dell does don't know about HP but I bet they equip it with bad PSU's...
For case w/ PSU I'd get an Antec (You pick the series) make sure it comes with a 400watt PSU or something that is P4 ready.
Motherboard w/ RDRam I'd get the Asus P4T-E
Those two will definitely help you overclock.
