Just cut the grill off the back of my case for my export fan, and my idle temp which was at 47c dropped to 41c.. that is a huge difference!!
now to open up my inlet fan..

It just might be a little quieter too! Them grilles help no one but the manufacturer.

I suppose case manufacturers have to play it safe and block some fans's efficiency by saving stupid fingers.

Personally, I'd be happy to pay the extra for having no structural case fan blockage and grilles that screw on!
